That's not correct. Women have, for the most part, been protected. Men have always been disposable.

History is longer than 60 years.

And you've forgotten the history prior to the last 60 then.

Men fight the wars, do the dangerous, dirty jobs, risk their lives in discovery, sacrifice themselves to protect the women and children, etc... Always been that way.

Ever heard of the Titanic? 75% of the females on the ship made it off. 20% of the men did. Why was that? Please help us out since you know what is fair and equitable.

You realize women were not legally allowed to fight in wars until recently, right? They weren't allowed to work in unions until the 70's (most construction jobs were union).

You complain they didn't take part in those things, but they weren't allowed to. Now that they are allowed to, you don't like the result and want to go back to men dominating those areas.

here ya go Joe...

we all know that isn't what we are talking about. If we are supposed to be equal, then lets be equal. No one should be treated differently if they want to go that route.

This affects society more than you think. You have less people getting married. You have less people having kids.

Why do we need more people getting married? Why do we need more kids? I'm not agreeing or disagreeing, but you're making assumptions that these are universally good things being affected by the feminist moment?

What % of time across humanity do you think that things have been equal? What % advantage men? What % advantage women? With rounding it's going to be 0%, 100%, 0% (even with what I assume if your underestimate of the amount of time humans have existed). Can you give me an example of where anything was skewed for so long and then immediately can correct to being perfectly equal? You have a very limited perspective and very little sympathy for what women have gone through.

Men have always had it MUCH harder than women. Western Civilization only exists because millions of men spilled their blood. American Revolution? Mountains of male bodies and unimaginable horror and suffering. Civil War? Mountains of male bodies and unimaginable horror and suffering. WWI? Mountains of male bodies and unimaginable horror and suffering. WWII? Mountains of male bodies and unimaginable horror and suffering. We could go on and on all day.

Men have done all of the back breaking work in actually building and maintaining these societies too. Ever seen a female harnessed at the top of a sky scraper? Ever seen a female roofing a house? Hell, I've never seen a female plumber. Even in the white collared world, female engineers and architects are virtually non-existent compared to males.

Why do women even deserve to be viewed as "equals"? Sell me on it. IMO, they should be eternally grateful for the strong and courageous men who paved the way for them. They can work white collared jobs and live in peace and comfort and sit around and binge netflix and wine or ice cream at night...or doom scroll on social media about how awful men and masculinity are...without a care in the world. THANKS ENTIRELY TO MEN. We LET them do these things by the way. Very few of them seem to be grateful in any way...most just want to prepetually b*tch and play the victim. It's absurd.

Women have not been allowed to do those things through 99% of recorded history.

When weren't legally allowed to fight in WW1 or WW2. They weren't even allowed to be in the military full time until after WW2. - A simple thank you for this will do. It sucked for the men, BIG TIME. Plus, women would have mostly gotten in the way...can you imagine females freaking the F out on the beaches of Normandy??? LOL...dang, may have just came up with an idea for a new comedy movie.

Women weren't allowed to hold construction jobs until the 1970's. Even then they were really only allowed to join unions. - Where did you get this? They were holding construction jobs in the 1940's. They couldn't work construction in the 1970's? Not that any of them choose to work construction anyways though lol (aside from rare outliers)

You can't tell them they aren't legally allowed to do something and then complain when they don't do it. And then want them to be grateful that you did it for them. What kind of insane logic is that? - Ok, where are they in construction and the hard manual labor jobs then, now that they have had decades to do so, according to you? Where are the female roofers? Asphalt layers? Roughnecks? Why are they so underrepresented now? Maybe because they tend to hate and shun such work. Also maybe they would be massive impediments and liabilities, which is why for thousands of years they have never been prime candidates for such labor??? Have you seen how much they suck at being cops and Secret Service agents???

Give 5 examples of people being angry at women? People are just saying the pendulum has over corrected. Young women have won the sex war. They are doing better than young men by a lot. Hell there are men that want to be a woman

Do you think women don't talk the same about men? Would you call them angry women? Or are you going to so it isn't the same.

Watch the video I posted. You cannot tell me boys arent falling behind and that isn't good for society. Part of the reason why we have less kid's today

Women have been oppressed for the vast majority of history and the second they gain any kind of upper hand y'all are calling it the end of society and the world.

No one is advocating that women be oppressed. That's another strawman.

Despite what libs choose to believe, men and women aren't interchangeable. Average differences in body, personality, interests, emotions and how they "fight and disagree" are big enough to matter once you're dealing with groups, not one person. When women are the majority and running the show, the "fighting and disagreeing" style shifts. Less in-your-face confrontation. More exclusion, reputation hits, and "everyone has to agree." You can find that in the research. You can also just watch the places that went heavily female. That is a very destructive dynamic in companies.

There's a playground study I read. They watched kids at recess for months. Boys got into a lot of physical scrapes. Girls almost none. After recess they asked every kid if they'd been in a fight. Almost none of the boys said yes. A bunch of the girls did. Press them and it's "Julie said she didn't want to play with me." Girls counted that as a fight. Completely different idea of harm.

Mock it if you want. Pretending men and women act the same in groups has a cost. Feminization of our society is going to be our downfall.

Y'all are so close to figuring this out.

Men controlling everything: bad

Women controlling everything: bad

Almost there.

Yes, DivErSIty is ouR STRengTH

LOL

So, you're advocating for a male dominated society where men rule everything?

How is that not oppressive to women, again?

I'm advocating a society where men do the things they are naturally good at and women do the things they are naturally good at. There will be outliers with both and there is nothing wrong with that.

The problem as presented which you seem to keep ignoring is that the outliers are becoming the norm which is going to lead to failure. And it already is with birth rates, men abandoning college, huge preferences for hiring women over men, etc. The natural balance is getting out of whack.

I truly worry this is going to bite everyone in the ass like we never could have predicted. Disenfranchising tens of millions of young males....not smart. At all. I just hope it never becomes bloody.

Society will crumble more and more as women displace men. Family unit will largely go bye bye. Birth rates plummet to unthinkable lows. Society will deteriorate, physically and culturally.

I think we are already there. Math is math and we aren't recovering from it if the younger generations don't start porking hard right now. We have a double whammy of depopulation and rapidly rising debt that we've decided not to address or solve.

Failure is inevitable unless Elon's visions of robots and AI come to fruition to offset the deterioration from both critical issues.

They have always been protected (by men). Since the dawn of man. You think women were fighting off wild beasts or opposing tribes or armies? No, they were doing what they were designed to do...making sure children were ok and the houses/villages were in order. Helpers, while men did the extremely dangerous work or necessary fighting.

They would have been massive liabilities in that war. Impediments, at best. You think letting them fight in combat roles in WWI and WWII would have been smart? What planet are you from?

Yes, we all know that women have been included in some atrocities. Many have been raped and even killed or enslaved in wars. The numbers still pale in comparison. The death and suffering in major wars is not even remotely close in terms of male vs. female. You might as well be saying, "women in modern society could not possibly ever be privileged, because sometimes women are raped in dark alley ways or sometimes bad things happen to them". Just liberal gibberish.

I'm not. That poster doesn't really know what they are saying.

At what point in history did women become protected?

Literally all of it.

One of the fundamental cornerstones of a successful society is protecting the members who generate offspring.

Do you understand basic biology?

Some of y'all REALLY need to brush up on actual history.

If you think women should have been in combat, storming the beaches of Normandy with the men, YOU need to pick up a history book. Not even that...just truly try your best to just use that brain of yours and think for yourself. Forget all of the programming and "the future is female" propaganda. Just use your own brain, that's seriously all it takes. And be honest with yourself.

Women weren't allowed to hold construction jobs until the 1970's. Even then they were really only allowed to join unions.

You can't tell them they aren't legally allowed to do something and then complain when they don't do it. And then want them to be grateful that you did it for them. What kind of insane logic is that?

Women, for the most part, didn't want to. Women are born with an intricately valuable resource for society.

Men have to prove and earn their value to society.

Do you understand that fundamental difference?

Then why was it necessary to make it illegal for them to join the military? After they were allowed to join, why was it illegal for them to see combat?

Only outliers wanted to, so there shouldn't be a need for a law, right?

How clear do we have to make ourselves, for the safety of others. They would have literally put fellow soldiers at risk storming the beaches of Normandy. They would have been massive liabilities in that war. Impediments, at best. You think letting them fight in combat roles in WWI and WWII would have been smart? What planet are you from?

For starters, you know women are much more fragile physically and mentally as well (in high stress situations like WAR), right?

Buddy, NO ONE is arguing that women are better at combat or anything like that.

Several people stated that men are better because they had to fight wars and that women should be "eternally grateful" for that. My point was that it was illegal for them to, so they couldn't even of they wanted. AND YOU WANT THEM TO BE GRATEFUL FOR THAT? That's insane logic.

The fact that so many of you are getting so hot about something that was never said just because it was suggested a women might be allowed to do something they wanted just proves my point over and over.

Let me help, I never gave an opinion either way. I only ever stated that it was illegal for them to as a counterpoint to you starting they should be grateful for not being allowed to do something.

But, outside of a few extreme outliers, women WOULD NOT HAVE WANTED TO FIGHT IN THOSE WARS. That's kind of our point. And any woman who wanted to fight in WWI or II, while admirable, would have been completely delusional and deranged. They want all the glory now, but they are ungrateful inheritants of the best civilization ever, which was built by men and paid for in blood. They do not truly deserve equality in a just world, but men have been merciful and given this gift to them. Now see how they are behaving with this gift? I know normal soccer moms who are terrified of a future world where their daughters are not able to kill off their offspring. IT IS THEIR NUMBER ONE ISSUE. Great job ladies.

Women don't and have never fought wars...just because it would be stupid to let them do so, does not mean that they would have ever wanted to storm the beaches of Normandy etc etc. Both statements can be true.

Because women tend to get in the way. And demand special treatment and want men around her to be "gentlemen".
Women once admitted, start demanding lowered bars for them but not the men. That leads to degradation of the service. Just look at how things are today with corporations where they are slaves of woman-dominated HR.

So our wise ancestors just banned women from essential services like military. No silly demands, no controversy. But today's men are low-T and beta now and like to believe that women can do the same things men can. Biology doesn't care for that, women still cannot do hard labor tasks or go fight in the front-lines. Don't give me extreme outliers, talk about the median.

The value of women to society is to make babies for the society to go on. So men protect women in all civilizations. But this feminism thing and giving them freebies have ruined society and pushed them into make oriented tasks and pushed men out.

If you find yourself arguing that your sex has a much harder life than the other, you are likely doing something wrong.

Women faced high health risks with pregnancy, were treated as property, couldn't own property and were often denied an education.

Men fought in wars, settled the frontiers and did dangerous jobs. Men had the role of provider and protector.

They both sound tough. Life is tough. Im not sure what value there would be to prove one was harder than the other. Unless you want sympathy. You want someone to feel bad for you. Eh that seems pathetic to me.

I have several times. A lot of the things y'all complain about women not doing that men did were things women were not legally allowed to do. I think being restricted from activities by law due to your sex counts as oppression. Add voting to that list, as well.

Just liberal gibberish.
this is only true if your definition of "death and suffering in war" is limited to combat deaths. in most modern conflicts it isn't; indirect deaths from collapsed healthcare, malnutrition, displacement, and disease usually exceed direct ones, and they don't split the same way.

If women were not directly aiding the destruction of Western Civilization, I think a lot of us would have a little more compassion. Obviously many women aren't doing this, our wives, mothers, siblings...many are not BSC abortion and Islam crazed liberals. But women disproportionately are. And they tend to have a very shallow grasp of politics and cultural issues to begin with...hell, many will vote based on "looks".

I think a lot of us are like "we handed you the keys to the kingdom and THIS is what you do with it?".

"Buyer's remorse" doesn't even begin to sum it up. You cannot possibly convince me they are nearly as astute politically as men. Or that they are "equal" in the logic or sommon sense departments.

They have certain gifts and we have certain gifts. We are meant to compliment each other...not work side by side as we pretend to be equals in every way.
