It's actually the best economy ever, per Trump.

Rove disagrees.

Quote:

Rove told Fox News's Gillian Turner that the president should "start by not gaslighting" the American public about the state of the economy.

"The president made a mistake, in my opinion, last week in saying we've got the greatest economy in the history of the world and prices for groceries and gasoline and everything are coming down rapidly," he said. "That's not the experience of the American people."

RINOs with TDS like Rove, will say anything to attack Trump even if there is about zero truth to it.

It took the Great Ronald Reagan's free market capitalism policies 2 years to turn Jimmy Carter's malaise economy around. America prospered from 1982 until 2008.

Trump bringing in $18 trillion of foreign investment plus increased manufacturing via that and tariffs and vastly increased expensing of former items previously depreciated over decades will be huge for jobs, the economy and tax revenues. AI, robots, autonomous vehicles and data centers will be huge!

Doge is big too. Knocking out wasteful spending, fraud and abuse should result in less gov spending. Our country has been run by crooks, buffoons and too few good men. These NGO's are nothing more than congressional Democrat looting vehicles. Growing our way out from under the debt is our best option by far.

Here's another great idea. Quit paying people to not work. Either go to work or starve.

Anybody thinking voting for democrats is going to make anything better is a hopeless fool. Democrats stop capitalism with green policies based on junk science, tax everything and then steal the money through NGO's. They will just open our borders and flood us with more parasites, criminals and Muslim terrorists.

Affordability is defined as the ability to manage expenses without incurring debt. A house is considered affordable if you avoid accumulating credit card debt, refrain from taking on unnecessary student loans, do not purchase two new vehicles, resist the temptation to buy a $7 latte, bring your own lunch instead of dining out, eliminate unnecessary impulse buys, cancel your Amazon Prime subscription, and choose to stay home rather than going out. i.e. Live like a monk until you have enough money to put down a good down payment.

Not a better job, just do not live beyond your means. I know a concept that is hard to understand.

Speaking of Reagan's great turn around, there are similarities, and not just in how horrifically harmful Trump and Reagan's predecessors were for the nation/world, Bidenflation, and enormous energy costs, plus a war/revolution in Iran.

This is a survey of manufacturers across eastern and central Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey, and Delaware.

At the same time, the index of future business conditions jumped +39.2 points, to 73.6, its highest level since the 1980s and its largest monthly increase on record.

Meanwhile, the index of future new orders soared +30.9 points, to 66.0, its highest since June 2021.

All while the 6-month forecast for capital expenditures surged +18.1 points, to 48.2, its highest since the 1970s.

The US manufacturing sector is gaining momentum.

Commentary:
Quote:

Every number here matches the Fed's own release exactly. And it's not an isolated print either, this is the third straight regional manufacturing survey to beat forecasts that week, alongside a strong ISM number and Empire State hitting a four year high.

Economists actually expected this index to fall to 25. It came in at 47.4 instead. That's a real surprise, not just a good headline.

One of the reasons the OBBB was pushed so hard was to avoid the Reagan mistake of not getting his economic policies passed quickly in order to help in the midterms. Laffer, Kudlow and others were VERY adamant on this in the early days of Trump 2.0. Hell, Kudlow had Art on damn near everyday and this was mainly what they talked about, for months.

If you removed Iran, things would be smoking along. Instead they are just simmering. But that is another Trump win - being able to take action in Iran AND keep the economy from going off the rails (despite widespread commentary that great suffering is taking place).

Continue COVID funding, Green New Deal and Russia Ukraine.

But libs get mad now if you reference Biden. Trump now owns Russia-Ukraine somehow and also owns the Green New Deal since DOGE failed.

Somehow if you go back to Biden policies things would… improve.

Yes, evidently there are a group of smooth brains who believe this and vote this way.

The only TDS in this case is those who willfully ignore what is right in front of their face to blindly defend this administration.

Trump ran on affordability. It was one of his primary issues. Since taking office it seems every action he has taken has only done the opposite of what he campaigned on. He has added trillions to the debt with additional spending. Increased costs and taxes via tariffs, and driven up oil and gas prices via starting wars.
You seem to have forgotten about Crooked Joe's record price inflation and gas prices higher than they are now - when there was no effort to defeat the world's largest sponsor of terrorism.

Political memories are short and many voters today aren't going to give the current administration credit for the failings of the prior administration. If you are not aware of the struggle families are having, you really are missing what people are seeing. Its not just a meme they follow online. Hourly employees at the lower end of the pay scale are feeling this pinch.

My concern, which was echoed in earlier posts, is the snapback you get when people get fed up or are feel so stressed they just want some change. That's how you get wildly progressive folks that offer the sky. The voters that support them don't worry about long term consequences, they just want relief.

Never claimed Democrats are the answer either. Its almost like its possible to criticize one political party without endorsing the other or something. "B-but muh Democrats" is not an acceptable excuse for Republicans' behavior.

Money supply has increased YoY by 8.0+%. If CPI and PPI are true, then it would appear that producers and consumers aren't able to keep up with the rapid deterioration of dollar purchase power. God help us all. The people at the wheel have their foot on the accelerator and the cliff is in view. Oh...and here's your $5K check...just wow. This has to be a simulation.

Nothing illegal about this, imho, but it's typical astroturfing by the left. Reminds me of the 'white dudes for Harris' campaign, or anything uttered by Talarico this year.
Quote:

Trump's economy is the strongest in 50 years.

2025 US GDP: $30.76T (highest ever)
3Q 2026 GDP growth: 5.1%
Unemployment rate: 4.1%
Unfilled job openings: 7 million
Productivity growth: 3%
Dow: 51,683 (record high)
S&P 500: 7,650 (+28% since Jan 2025)
Median household income: $87K (highest ever)
Jobs added (Aug 2026): +162K
CPI inflation (YoY): 3.4%
Core inflation (YoY): 2.4%
Poverty rate (2025): 10.2% (lowest ever)
Avg hourly earnings: $37.75 (highest ever)
Labor force participation: 61.6% (highest ever)
Child poverty rate (2025): 13.4% (historic low)
Payroll employment: 159.1 million (highest ever)
Corporate CAPEX: record high ($9.1T annualized)
Fed tax revenue (FY 2025): $5.23T (highest ever)
Black, Hispanic and Asian unemployment: lowest ever
Youth unemployment: lowest ever
Federal employees cut: ~330K

Most of that is pretty darn good.

Have you priced out a landline recently
The $1000 phone is a great talking point that no Longer applies
Even Apple is rolling the price of the new phone into the cellular service agreement it's around $50 a month and way cheaper than a landline

Every single time some issue appears out of no where, it is being astroturfed by someone.

Democrats do it to create a "crisis" which of course they present themselves to be the solution.

China did it with the Wuflu hysteria, and now they're doing it with data centers, AI, and Flock cameras. Their goal is simply to destabilize the US. They are the threat the most people think Russia is when it comes to influencing Americans.
"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves." - Sir Winston Churchill

The Atlanta Fed is projecting 3rd quarter GDP to be 5%!!! Huge!!!

Capital goods orders are up 16% for the past 3 months and up 14% over the past 12 months.

Unemployment is only 4.1%

These numbers are awesome!!!

Those saying our economy sucks are dead wrong. AI and Trump's pro business legislation, tax cuts, tax changes like expensing new investments in plants and equipment rather than depreciating, attracting trillions in investment from around the world, defense spending and even tariffs to encourage domestic manufacturing are resulting in a booming US economy. Additionally, American workers wages are up 5% on average since he took office.

As far as inflation goes, Trump's inflation is less than Biden's. No president can reverse prices increased by the previous administration.

The average voter neither understands macroeconomic indicators nor cares. The only thing they understand is what they're paying at the pump.. and that's not good.

It's crazy to me that gas prices is what it took for people to start rejecting Trump that were not already doing so, it says a lot about us as Americans. But better late than never. Can't see much changing people's minds before the mid-terms.

For Christ's sake we may end up having a Democrat Senator because of how much people hate Trump.

To our resident democrats, which Democrat policies will help with:

1) Affordability for Americans?

2) The American economy

Do you think flooding America with illegal parasites, drug dealers, murderers and rapists is good for Americans, especially you and your family? Because that's what going to happen.

Do you think flooding America with illegals will make rents go down and wages go up hurting affordability?
