Possibly an Overreach by the Governor but Executive Over reach is the new normal. It would be amusing to watch the "Nothing to see here" staffers argue that it is in the best interest of Kentucky to have an empty senate seat.

8/3 is the deadline for calling a special election to finish out the term

Special elections are hard to predict maybe congressman Massey could pull off an upset in a special election and then you'd have Massey in the Senate for five months

There's quite a bit of setup, he's been in the hospital now for almost a month but is wearing normal clothes, and someone handed him a newspaper. Very odd.
