That's a pretty ridiculous statement. Playing clips of that idiot and his 6 gender crap resonates with republican voters. The dude Is a fraud in every way and the voters know it. If we turnout, it will be a comfortable win for Paxton.
I don't think it really does anymore. This will be decided on gas prices and affordability by independent voters.
hope you are right and I am wrong
this is why the messages about Talarico need to pivot to his stances on economics - destroy O&G and tax tax tax at every opportunity. As much as folks are hurting from current economy, nothing he stands for has ever improved the economy
Mixing in more of that would be nice.
But I can see why the Paxton campaign is hammering away at the woke issues though...because they're more likely to emotionally motivate Republican voters to show up. Paxton doesn't have to create a bunch of new Republican voters in Texas on economics...he just needs current Republican voters to show up on election day.
Of course. You scare the average Republican Voter and scoot it all under the idea of "Woke". Then you condition them to be scared of that word, regardless of whatever idea is actually being discussed, and you don't have to explain anything at all. They can live their little politician lives lying, denouncing, inciting fear, being corrupt, without having to do any real actual work. They just have to teach their followers what (and who) to fear. It keeps us busy arguing with each other about things we have little to no control over.

Not sure I've ever disliked a "politician" more,
Excuse me? (Don't misinterpret this as me liked Talarico in any sense)....but....
Talarico vanishing from the campaign trail makes zero sense. Something is up. This isn’t the flu. https://t.co/9EkIGf15P2

I have received unverified information on James Talarico's whereabouts. If true, it will END his campaign.
— Sara Gonzales (@SaraGonzalesTX) October 8, 2026
I am asking anyone who can verify where James Talarico has been to email me with confirmation. YOU WILL STAY TOTALLY ANONYMOUS.
Email: SaraTips@blazemedia.com
I too have been made aware of UNVERIFIED INFORMATION about where James Talarico has disappeared to over the past 12 days. I’m not sure if the word we received was the same as Sara’s. Tala-Freak-Show’s behavior is highly unusual in the midst of a senatorial campaign. https://t.co/MEiHg3Lfkn

This post was good enough for the Where is Talarico thread, so it's good enough for this one.
In the following clip, Talarico is Gene Wilder, the monster is Talarico's new "moderate" views, and Cloris Leachman is Talarico's campaign chief:

yep. Haven't paid that close attention to our past senate races, but don't think I have ever seen a commercial accusing the opponent of "bad behavior" while subsequently practicing that exact behavior. It does fit the "accuse your opponent of what you are doing" dem playbook though.txags92 said:AgDad121619 said:Gigem314 said:Jinx said:Gigem314 said:Jinx said:

They don't have to explain it, because extremists like Talarico make it easy with the crazy positions they've taken and backed up with their words. All Paxton has to do is play the clips and say it's too extreme for Texas. It doesn't require lying or inciting fear...it's simply replaying the words of fringe candidates for the voters to hear.
Now the Democrats lying and inciting fear over false claims about Trump...that's another story.
Woah, youre telling me politicians are liars and manipulators? That's crazy talk!
But as long they say "love your neighbor" and that they aren't taking money from billionaires when they actually are...we should believe them.
making money from the right billionaires …….
So the pedophile ones linked to Epstein are the right ones, but the genius ones building everything and doing stuff in space everybody thought was impossible are the wrong ones?

Sexually transmitted diarrhea is shigellosis, caused by Shigella bacteria. It produces bloody or mucus-filled diarrhea, cramps, fever and vomiting. Transmission occurs via fecal-oral contact during sex (often oral-anal), needing only a tiny bacterial dose. Cases are rising…
