JUST IN: UK PM Keir Starmer reportedly PREPARING TO RESIGN after devastating election results

Make it happen!

Keir WON'T be missed

"Sir Keir Starmer looks set to resign as Prime Minister in this coming week."

"Journalist Dan Hodges has reported that a Cabinet Minister has informed him that: 'they believe Keir Starmer will announce he's standing down this week without the need for a contest.' He goes on to say that this is the first time he's heard this directly from a Cabinet Minister."

The one behind him is 100x worse, but it will be short lived. The Labour Party is being absolutely destroyed right now and there doesn't appear to be a way to correct the ship.

This is correcting the ship.

One, that tweet was showing SEATS, not votes.

Two, much of the ground made up by Reform was at the expense of other conservative parties.

Three, much of Labor's losses were split between the Greens and the Lib Dems.

TLDR: The idea that all the Labor voters are just switching to Reform is very wrong. Reform is gaining a lot of support on the basis that many conservatives view other conservative parties as too soft on immigration.

These were local elections, not parliament.

But, Labour absolutely lost a ton of voters, and it's not real hard to argue many switched to reform. Labor MP's have a big group that came out this weekend (I think 30 or so) demanding Starmer step down. Ending a 72-year run of running Wales I think is just a big red flag heading toward 2027 cycle there, but I don't follow their politics much tbf. Headlines about dramatic overnight changes in actual governance in Europe are usually wrong, imho.

The Labor Party (akin to the Dems in the US) are pro immigrants and pro illegals as they create a new votebank. UK Labor party has brought in Muslims in boatloads who are now going around committing crime and raping women.

People seem to be fed up. They need a Trumpesque leader to weed these terrorists out.

Unfortunately they'll never have a Trumpesque leader. They're too far lost. The entire British mindset that made them a world power for centuries is gone.

Wait until Labor figures out that Muslims will vote Muslim, Labor or not.

Labor will put up Muslim candidates.

I have relatives in Canada and in their area it is always the same Muslim woman.

The UK has some real issues with economic growth and investment outside of London. They need to revitalize other parts of the country to give opportunities to young workers. The problem is who the heck wants to invest there? They have the same issues the USA has with crime and social unrest and arguably a worse looming problem with retiree entitlements.

**** him. He's an America-hating piece of *****

I don't think you realize how different the political mainstream is in the UK compared to the US. He is to the current Labor party what someone like Suzan DelBene is to the current Democrat party.

Starmer is WIDELY attacked by his base as being too moderate and centrist. A big reason Labor lost seats is because of people voting for the far more left wing Green party. The average Labor voter views mainstream American democrats as conservatives, and the average Tory voter is left wing by the standards of the average American conservative.

For reference, 90% of self identified conservatives in the UK support abortion in some capacity. There is such a consensus there amongst all the parties that it is regarded as a settled issue politically. There is no controversy whatsoever about it. That's how vast the chasm between the two nations is.

I am an American, what matters to me in global politics is where various political figures are in respect to American ideological positions. From the American perspective, he is a radical leftist and must be treated as such. I don't care if the average street Brit thinks he's a moderate.

Sadly this.

The Brits have lose their spine. They are reduced to a bunch of effete woke virtue-signaling people-pleasing bumbling goofs.

Their go-to move is a reflexive "We love Muslims, we will fight for them to stay and more to come in"

The Brit Conservatives are not strong enough either.

A very large percentage of their employment base is government related in some way, not private enterprise.

Upward mobility isn't really possible for many. Brits also have this weird mindset where having success is not to be talked about. They consider it bragging and distasteful.

Further, their education system largely sucks, keeping their population ignorant of the rest of the world. We have dumb college students in Gen Z. UK has dumb 50 and 60 years old.
