Starmer is threatening to call a snap election if he's challenged which could cost Labour a whole lot more. His ego will be his demise regardless.

LOL. The Country Needs Starmer in this time of chaos, so he has to stay:

He's pulling the "MUH THREAT TO DEMOCRACY" card here...

JFC...

This is all they have left. They can't stand on their policies...they have to accuse the opposition of being Hitler/Satan/etc...

Sounds like the Democrats here in the US...

This is a product of years and years of indoctrination of deconstruction implanted decades ago into our educational system. All in an attempt to take out western civilization..

This will be the straw that breaks Starmer's back.

Starmer is defiant, but I think the votes are there to oust him. The next week or so should be telling.

He's moderate compared to those poised to take his place within the party. For perspective, Starmer is in most ways a run of the mill modern American democrat. In a country where the Overton window is much further to the left than it is here he's very milk toast.

Getting rid of him will only push the country further to the left and exacerbate the issues that led to his resignation.

Correction, if his party replaces him with leadership that is further left, it will push the country further right.

Until they start stacking bodies, it wont matter

King Chuck should remove him.

And yes he can. Particularly if he has lost the confidence of the House of Commons.

But he's no modern democrat so the King is not going to throw the nation into a constitutional crisis cause they don't like someone.

He has… decorum. DemLibs do not.

I support the rally, but 100K doesn't seem very large. Hopefully the movement continues to grow.

To Keir Starmer and his minions in the Labour Party, if you want borders, deporting illegals, ending government fraud/waste/abuse, government accountability for the obscene amount of taxes they pay, not allowing islam to expand their foothold, free speech and stopping government tyranny restricting free speech, and to protect British women and young girls…… you are "far right", racist, threat to democracy, blah, blah, blah.

What a wild situation Starmer and his Labour Lidiots have created.

Redstate: breaking up the UK great for England?
Quote:

What about trade? It would be to England's advantage, perhaps, to leave off with the drag from the other states, but what could Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland do? Northern Ireland could always apply to re-unite with the rest of Ireland, but Wales and Scotland would quickly be looking for a new way to bring in business.

It's an interesting proposition, but the problem is, it's got almost no chance of happening. The UK is an old, mostly ossified country now. They are suffering a slow demographic suicide, and they seem unable to resist the influx of third-world immigration, which is transforming parts of the country into third-world enclaves. It's a sad pass for a country that was once America, Original Recipe, but now, in 2026, it seems not even a breakup will save them - the only chance Britain has of remaining British is to deal with their immigration crisis. And there's where they may be a glimmer of hope, if the UK's reformers can take control.

On that, everything depends - for the UK, and for England.

Stop importing Pakistan/India/Africa. This seems like such a simple formula.

The problem with breaking up is that the others (at least Scotland is) are more left wing than England. They are parasites of England. They could not survive as countries on their own without their host England. Scotland came close several years back in seceding and it would have been a catastrophic failure if they had.

Even if it somehow happened (again, not happening near term), it is debatable if/how an 'independent England' would rid itself of the invaders in it's primary city/economic epicenter.

Theoretically, the Irish caliphate could be put down later (sometimes history rhymes) but the first-consequences of such a break up would be the bigger issue just for scenario-thought purposes imho.
