I know there are all kinds of caveats and exceptions, but generally what's the best in terms of conservative leadership, low taxes, conservative state government?

Texas? Maybe in rural areas and some suburban counties.
Tennessee? Maybe the most conservative state currently.
Georgia? Mostly conservative outside the Fulton Co hellhole.
Alabama? Vying for most conservative state.
Florida? RD has completely flipped this large state to conservatism.

Most seem like they're in the south. The south might be the only way to save the republic.

At present Day I would say Florida as long as Desantis has influence over the state.

Oklahoma is also extremely conservative.

Ennis, Montana. Pretty sure if you outted yourself as a lib or Muslim in that down you may not be heard from again.

America.

Wyoming and Idaho are little *****es on weed so they are out for this hippie lettuce conservative.

I think I'd love to live in the Ozark region of Oklahoma. I just don't know how difficult that would be given the Indian Reservations.

I believe you are right in that the South could lead the way to save the republic. My concern is, how long can southerners swallow the blatant fraud and neglect of the republics best interest in the rest of the country? I fear we are approaching a breaking point that will be very difficult to rebound from.

Former territories of the Louisiana Purchase should also be included in any new southern uprising.

Our 16yo is vetoing us looking in Big Sky in favor of the Madison River valley or Paradise Valley spot along the Yellowstone.

I live in Colorado, which would never make any of those lists. But I'm surrounded by red in my town which is great.

It's common sense on the day-to-day but it's like we all acknowledge being part of a larger crazy family.

And it makes it a lot easier to raise my kids in some respects, pointing out what utter insanity the left has become on a daily basis. They see it in their groups, at schools, everywhere. We live in a society that looks down at anyone of faith. Makes me feel like a rebel.

Red city in a blue state: Huntington Beach, Ca.

Perfect weather, beach vibe...conservative.

Texas, Wyoming, North Dakota, Alabama, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Florida are probably the best.

Idaho, Arizona, Nevada, and Montana are very gradually turning more and more purple with each passing year.

Yeah I don't know how that works. I mean, there are towns throughout Eastern Oklahoma, so I guess non-indigenous people can move there. Not sure what restrictions exist

The Ouachita and Ozark regions of Eastern Oklahoma are beautiful though. And land is cheap compared to Texas

Anything other than Texas, and you need to turn in your Texan card.

If you HAVE to live in another state (Can't imagine anyone wanting to), for a conservative who also wants more than rural things, I'd say Florida or Oklahoma.

He's got good instincts. It's his mother who wants to be in town where she can faux fur and boogie moon boots.

Regardless, we love Montana and a big reason are remaining conservative values particularly it seems in that SW corner. Not to mention the scenery may be some of the best in the world and Yellowstone / Tetons is a day trip.

I still support a conservative takeover of Vermont. By my estimation it would only take about 20-30,000 people moving there to flip it.

Just do not get too close to Ashville, North Carolina. Watching the latest season of This Old House and the Hurricane Helene folks they had on their will cause you to lose sleep at night. What lives in the holler must say hidden in the holler.

TEXAS

Just don't live in any of the big cities or in the valley, the rest of the state is very conservative.

Huntington Beach is a refreshing oasis in an otherwise cesspool of a state.

That is one feisty and resilient community.

I'll never leave but it's mainly for family reasons. My wife would divorce me if I tried to leave our grandkids. But having visited northern Ga and Eastern Tenn lately really gave me a hankering for moving to a more beautiful area with good weather and still be conservative.
The Metroplex is a beating I wish I could leave but it's either stay married here or be divorced by myself there. So the Metroplex it is.

The left is trying to do that to conservatives states. Not a bad idea. Need to get a movement going. That would freak the dems out.

Of the places I have been, I would say Florida panhandle.

Maybe eastern Tennessee is up there too though.

Why would they not be?

My youngest daughter and her husband live in Missoula right now...the Austin of the north.

But, he's from Polson (right at the south end of Flathead Lake), so they're looking for some land up in that area. He works remotely right now so it would work great for them.

Absolutely beautiful in that area.

HOWEVER...it gets cold as **** and snows. Those are 2 things I don't do.

I feel you.

The state is perfect, so long as you're okay with it not looking beautiful (green).

I've lived in many a metroplexes, and while the diversity in things to do, people, food, etc is great, the fast pace wears you down.

Good luck to toughing it out.

Move out to Parker County. I lived west of Weatherford for 20 years. It was awesome.

Except for the drive to Hurst for work...but, that last 6 min of the drive home on the backroads made it all worth it. Plus, I had 5 acres so I could let my kids go hog wild outside and have fun growing up.
