If the left is wining again, so ends the free market and capitalist experiment in Sweden they've successfully ran for a few years now.

They will descend once more into uber socialist / communist policy and practice and deteriorate.

62000+ arrested for jokes, truth telling and protests. Destroy your country and then prosecute those who disagree with the destruction. Way to go Britain. Pretty soon China will be taking notes.

"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves." - Sir Winston Churchill

Good. Get out of Spain, Germany, and Italy in particular. The UK would be great, too.

Above Rubio comments are from March, but still valid today of course. They are prevaricating about the mythical great Russian power to strike Europe now, but it is really just a tool ('hybrid' war) they are going to use to claim electoral interferences as the right wing parties in France, Germany etc. are dominating at the polls right now.

Russia is saber rattling. They are threatening to strike Ukrainian allies. In fact, I believe they are going to do so because youre starting to see some actions taken by the euros that suggest they know something.

Yesterday, the Germans closed their consulate in St. Petersburg. They are prepping hospitals for causalities. They are looking for bomb shelters. The germans are moving troops east.

England is telling people to have at least 3 days rations on hand.

Eastern euro countries are preparing their evacuation plans.

Something is brewing.

The greenland deal is different in that it is outside of any nato membership. And now the seemingly more serious threat to move Americans out of Europe. Perhaps the Americans know something is coming as well.

Perhaps the Russians do strike some European munitions etc. sites. I think it would be hilarious for them to then be in the position of begging Trump to help them, after thumbing their noses at the US over Iran (and Canada). Maybe Trump offers to send some blankets or something to fulfill our 'article 5' obligation to assist, Obama-style.

I am not supporting/hoping to see deaths of course, just the pure politics are intriguing/amusing. "Vertigo" LOL from a leftist party leader in France.

Was on a call last week focused on Russia. General Sir Nick Carter (former UK Defense Chief) and Mark Pascale (former CIA Chief of Station in China, Russia, and Syria) both think there is a 50% chance of Putin invading the Baltic States in next six months. Using his "little green men" strategy where un-uniformed, small contingent of troops cross border under false flag pretense of defending the large ethnic Russian populations in those 3 countries. A soft incursion and disruption from within. Both concerned that NATO has good conventional plans to defend territory but much less so for something like this.

They think he would do this not to necessarily start a new war, but to deteriorate support for Ukraine. He's getting desperate in Ukraine because he's not winning that war and Ukraine is steadily impacting Russia in their interior. Russian battlefield casualties are estimated at 1.4m.

So, that's the current fear that you might not have seen articulated in the media just yet.

Saw a clip the other day of Scott Jennings on CNN getting hammered by the dem hosts about tariffs and how they are a tax on Americans.

Paraphrasing, he responded, why do you only hate those taxes and not other businesses must pay.

Dems don't get that taxes are simply pass through costs on business and drive up prices on everything. Businesses don't discriminate. If they are taxed, if gets passed through to the consumer.

I think nato would respond. I think they'd have to. Their reputation is hanging by a thread already and a non response to an actual invasion, strike or incursion by little green men would surely be the death knell of it.

That or they are going to monitor the hell out of the situation

Already stated this but I think this fear of Russian incursion/invasion is partially the reason why Denmark agreed to the Greenland deal. If Russia actually does something like that, Europe is going to fold without us stepping in. They will let the Baltic states hang out to dry because they simply won't know what to do. So they relent on Greenland to make Trump happy so he won't sit on sidelines if Russia does this.

Total speculation on my part but I could see this being part of the sudden and surprise decision on Greenland conveniently happening within just a couple of weeks of these fears of Russian incursion start bubbling out from the insiders.

The governments created this mess but won't own it. Now they have to punish the energy companies, who will ultimately get their revenge.

I do not believe Russia has the capability to invade any of the Baltic states. With whom and with what?

They may let loose some drones or missiles but there is zero possibility they put troops on the ground because anything they have has been so deeply eroded in Ukraine.

You Mean the same military that had to use cell phones when fighting Georgia instead of military equipment? Or the same guys that couldn't master the logistics of invading Kiev? Which was more or less just a short drive down a straight road.

The specific threat is Russia sending small units of un-uniformed soldiers/operatives over the borders to sow discord and foment internal strife. The Baltic states have large ethnic Russian populations, so not a conventional invasion but more of a tactic to get some internal strife smoldering and cause an ideological split amongst the natives.

I am 100% on board with tearing up NATO. Our "allies" are in name only and they've had 4+ years to get thie defense sectors sorted out and funded. They havent. We do not need to bail thrm out a 3rd time.

The post WWII World Order is just about dead. We are watching as it reorganizes.

Funny you mention that. Germany has opted to arm up to the point that the rest of the EU is now worried about it because an armed Germany has not had good outcomes. They are now outspending the UK 3 to 1 on defense. EU worried Germany will arm up and then align with Russia.

Can't win for losing.

The eastern parts of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania are sparsely populated. About half of Estonia lives in metro Tallin. Nearly the same for Riga in Latvia. One could imagine a small-ish force invading these rural areas without Russian uniforms from the Crimea 2014 playbook.

The newest ministry of truth is born.

Of course, 'muh, russians' are the pretext/excuse.
Quote:

BREAKING PM Andy Burnham has announced plans for a new National Centre for Information Defence to improve community cohesion and prevent a "distorted and untrue narrative about Britain".

The new centre will draw up expertise and best practice, and ensure the UK has the defensive capability necessary to combat information warfare and build national resilience.

Mr Burnham said: "There is no national security without a strong, cohesive society. That's the starting point for everything we hold dear and everything we want to achieve. But the fact is that it has been under attack.

"In recent years we have seen an industrial-scale assault by hostile actors on the information environment in the UK and many of our allies.

"Russian agencies have used every means at their disposal to spread lies and disinformation and prey on people's fears. They've used bots and fake websites. Falsified newspaper articles.

"Forged the branding of 28 British organisations including universities and the BBC. They've amplified far right narratives. And we have evidence that they tried to interfere with the 2019 General Election.

"We also know that they have tried to stoke tensions and unrest in the wake of horrific events. The idea that anyone would try to use such things to their advantage is just repulsive but it is what they do."

More now at @GBNEWS.

No budget announced yet. I'm sure this will be a small/efficient operation as with all government censorship entities.

They always try to delegitimize conservatives/right/non-globalists as 'Russian' sympathizers. When Hillary/Obama got through an impeachment with entirely made up lies for over 2 years vs. Trump, they decided that was the storyline to latch onto.

They used it again in Romania, Poland and Hungary most recently, and plan to use the same storylines in the UK, Germany, and France coming up. It's all the same crap premise to censor parties/leaders/speech they fear.

If you look at the overall economies of the EU and The USA they are going in opposite directions. I think they just need to have the EU keep adding more and more regulations governing every part of EU society and also keep importing all those Islamic/African doctors and engineers. That is the key to Europe overtaking Drumps America!!

From Brave AI
Quote:

In 2008, the European Union economy was larger than the United States economy, with a GDP of $19.3 trillion compared to the U.S. $14.8 trillion, making the EU approximately 131% the size of the U.S. economy.
By 2026, this relationship has reversed significantly. The U.S. economy is forecast to reach $32.4 trillion, while the EU is projected at $23.0 trillion, meaning the EU economy is only 71% the size of the U.S. economy.

The comfortable establishment explanation is that Germans are losing their minds and therefore need more guidance, correction and information from the establishment they are rebelling against. The less comfortable one is that today's political wreckage has a long prehistory, much of it written during the Angela Merkel era.

Ms. Merkel, who served as chancellor from 2005 through 2021, was for years treated as the great grown-up of Western politics: steady, pragmatic, reassuringly unexcitable. In retrospect, she looks more like the archetypal establishment tribune - brilliant at reading and managing insider consensus but incapable of noticing when the consensus itself had become the problem.
