EVERY country with interests in the ME can take their navy to the Strait of Hormuz and provide security assistance.
They won't or don't because they are cowards. Cowards in action because they're too yellow-bellied to take a stand or cowards in ideology because not so deep down they support Iran in this.

you left out one of the main reasons the Euro politicians are cowardly:
they know the Islamists in England, France, Belgium, Holland, Sweden etc. will either vote them out of office or firebomb their neighborhoods.

Tommy Robinson has been blowing this horn for years, maybe two decades. No one listened, just threw him in jail. The UK deserves everything they get, but don't get me wrong, it is still a darn shame for a great country.
We in the US have seen a major blow with NYC and Mamdami. Texas isn't doing so well either with the proliferation of mosques. They are going after the heart(s) of this country. This will continue to happen until Americans wake up and do not vote any of them in to ANY office of power. And deport, deport, deport.
I freaking love Dr. Felton. Pretty sure I have watched nearly all of his of his productions. The little intro jingle on his videos always gets me hyped.
I have never heard him get even close to being angry in one before but his disgust is just palpable in this one. As one can suspect, he knows his history obviously. He knows precisely how precarious a position the UK is in right now and he has been talking about it for a while now but as with most people, is utterly powerless to enact real change.
The "peace dividend" was an insidious trap for a lot of countries…
ETA: Also think a chunk of his frustration is knowing that there is not much that can be done really. It's the problem with modern western navies. It can take a decade or more to "course correct" from mistakes made by a previous generation. It's the same damn problem we are facing now with some post hindsight mistakes in ship acquisition that will take years to recover from. Wrong decisions cost billions upon billions in wasted potential and years of production time. Years both us or the UK may not have before the next hot war.

Their Navy, at the onset of the Iranian dustup was half the size of the Iranian Navy. The RAF has been trading on their Battle of Britian reputation. All in all a paper tiger.
With an estimated 6% Islamic population including radical Wahabi clerics they have a big problem.

Though their empire is a tiny fraction of what it used to be, they still have obligations across the globe. The defensive commitments they have means they can only feasibly field an equivalent of a brigade or two as an expeditionary force.
That is also dependent on the population not getting squirrelly and them not needing to beef up local policing efforts with military. Ya know, in case of an unpopular war against certain demographics…
