The muzzys had it once before, they can have it again.

Spanish are still feeling impact of 2004 train bombings. They would rather live in fear than actually deal with the problem.

It's a win-win for them. They're not going to help us, so they can be a passive ally of Iran by denying us their airspace. Spain knows that we are not going to do anything to them and by taking this action they think they lesson the probability of terrorist bombings in their country.

Spain, once a world power with a world empire, fell into the dust bin of history with Ferdinand, Isabella, Tomas de Torquemada and antisemitism. To this day they have never recovered. Christ told Abraham regarding the Jewish people, "I will bless those who bless you and the ones that curse you I will curse…" Gen 12:3

I bet another motivation of Spain to adopt this position is the uncertainty of the BILLIONS they've helped Iran launder & hide in bank accounts & other assets across Spain. If all that wealth suddenly disappeared, or even worse, investigations were launched to learn the "who, what, when, where & how" behind why Spain was chosen to handle that money from Iran, the political figures/ countries exposed by such revelations would reverberate throughout the Arab AND Western World!!

Just my 2 cents FWIW.

Tell Spain, we will fly over their space as we see it if they have a problem with it they can talk to NATO. We can then tell NATO how about we drop out and you can keep Spain good luck with Russia.

Definitely not saying they should get a pass. Honestly, I'd figure out a way to force all LNG and Petro deliveries through Portugal or France and make them spend lots and lots of dollars extra to get that energy. Or force them to buy through the Gulf which will be hugely more expensive. No problem making things hard on Santander or BBVA either. Focus any deals done with Spain into Catalonia around Barcelona and out of the areas around Madrid, Seville, Valencia, Malaga, Cordoba and Cadiz. It's relatively quiet at the moment but a shift like that might make the Spanish worried about US support for a sepratist movemnt there.

The bottom line is Spain needs to feel reprocussions from this. Ones that not only they understand, but the rest of Europe does too.

Sixty-five days ago, President Trump intentionally lied and publicly insulted the 1200 dead soldiers and the thousands of wounded soldiers and the many tens of thousands of veterans from our NATO allies who served in Iraq and Afghanistan.
