Interesting question, I think if the political is representing his constituents well I guess it wouldn't matter. Maybe part of the problem is we view our politicians as representatives of part of the constituents that share their political identify. But for me fundamentally that's improper.

Trumps probably a good example of people voting for policy over religious differences.

Cruz represents his constituents well. That's why he's been repeatedly reelected. I don't agree with all of Trump's beliefs. I also recognize that he's a good president.

You just can't see past the Israel of it all because your heart has been hardened.

Like I've said it's about him making up scripture. The subject matter is irrelevant, it happens to be about Israel because that is what HE made it about. Not me. He literally made up scripture as justification for geopolitical view point. If I seem too hard it's because I've voted for him numerous times and expect better.
