How to Test Negative for Stupid is the title. Here he talks to Ted Cruz about his book and his close friendship with Cruz.

Really folks, watch this. Funny as hell and very informative for non lawyers. Kennedy does a great backhanded compliment to Lindsay Graham. Also the differences between appellate lawyers (Cruz) and trial lawyers (Kennedy).

Yes it is from 3 months ago but worth it if you missed it (as I obviously did.)

I have the audio book and he does the reading and it in his own voice is like listening to a Jerry Clower performance in the level of comedic delivery and is fantastic.

Kennedy: Job as a Senator is not as much as advancing good ideas as much as it is squelching bad ideas.

That says it all.

True story. My much older sister had some type of gel perfume tube. IDK what the hell it was. But to a six year old looked like a tube of Prell shampoo which was what we used in my home.

So, I used it. Sister was having a hissy fit. Mom was laughing as she washed my hair again. This time with Prell. Anyone who remembers that shampoo, dried your hair out like crazy. But that smell was familiar. Before she died, my Mom asked me often to get her Prell shampoo. If I could even find it.

I have shampooed with Prell in the last year. Still didn't need instructions.

Don't buy it. Not as a shampoo unless one only washes their hair twice a month.

LOL. New to politics? New to Black Dems such as Sharpton and the late Jackson? New to Middle East politics?

If that is your knock on Cruz, it is a very weak one.

We get it. You don't like Israel. You act like Cruz is Talarico pimping religion for personal gain. He believes that God's covenant with the Jews remains and has never wavered from the point. The only thing detestable is you claiming twists scripture for his own gain. I could easily make the same argument against your beliefs.

My issue isn't with Israel. I hope Israel is prosperous and peaceful. My issue is with a politician abusing the sacred Word of God for political gain and getting a pass because he's on team red.

Except you can't make those claims because my view is aligned with scripture.

Cruz Is elected to represent TEXANS in the senate is the United States. But he makes decisions on what's best for Israel, not Texans those whom he has sworn to represent, because of twisting scripture.

Oh right. You're the one that has it all figured out.

Maybe Cruz believes his position on Israel is in the best interest of his constituents. I mean, Israel is a major player in a region that is significant in the global oil market, which is relevant to Texans. But you're right, he's probably just twisting scripture.

Well my view is the orthodox' view. And maybe there's merit there but that's not why Cruz votes the way he does according to himself. It's because of in his words what he learned in Sunday school as a kid…

I remember the Prell tv ads (70s) ... would drop a pearl into the bottle of Prell to show it moving slow to the bottom, illustrating how thick their shampoo was.

Yes... I'm "old."

You don't think it's a bit misplaced for a politician to put another country ahead of their constituents based on religious beliefs? And beliefs founded in misquotes from the Bible at that?

If some pol thought we needed to do what was best for Croatia because of some belief system over America would you find that appropriate or not?

Maybe you don't. But for me it's a big red flag

You framing it as a zero sum game where his support for Israel somehow comes at the expense of his constituents is the biggest red flag. He was elected by his constituents while being very forthright about his positions. Ted Cruz has been one of the most consistent conservatives in modern politics when it comes to his core beliefs.

You're just talking down to the people who have repeated chosen to elect him because you are a zealous supercessionist that thinks any support for Israel is anti-American. You should join the protests of the leftists that share your position.

No if he made a geopolitical strategic argument I probably wouldn't be opposed to it. But he made an argument based on twisting scripture which is my issue like I said originally. We shouldn't be like the left that turns a blind eye to for political gain. It seems a lot are giving him a pass for a gross misrepresentation of scripture because he's on team red.

A significant portion of Christians in this country agree with his position. If someone disagrees with Catholic doctrine, does that mean they shouldn't vote for a solid conservative that's a Catholic?
