But it's odd they wouldn't just say that. The reporting used to say 'drone strike' or whatever all the time. Now it's just 'attacked' or something equally vague.

"Today, I announce the start of military operations to retake the remaining territory of the republic and extend the authority of the state and its institutions across the entire national territory," Yemeni President Rashad al-Alimi said in a televised address.
Rashad al-Alimi's announcement came amid reports Yemen's armed forces reported strikes in Sanaa and Saada, marking a new escalation in Yemen's renewed fighting, which has flared as a spillover from the broader war between Iran and the United States.
Yemen's armed forces, aligned with the internationally recognized government, said early Sunday they were conducting strikes against the Houthis in the capital Sanaa and the group's stronghold of Saada.
A spokesperson said the forces were targeting "vital targets."
Houthi-run Al Masirah TV had earlier reported an attack on Sanaa that it said was carried out by Saudi Arabia.

The Islamic Republic's internal conflict is erupting in public as its officials turn on one another and a record-low rial pushes the economy toward a crash.
On October 4, MP Mehdi Kouchakzadeh erupted in parliament over a plan to sell up to $10,000 to each adult Iranian. The central bank has set aside up to $2 billion for the scheme while the dollar trades around 270,000 toman.
Kouchakzadeh called the plan a crime. Buying the full quota costs roughly 2.5 billion toman. Families struggling with food, rent and medicine cannot afford it. Wealthy buyers and dealers can. If everyone bought the full amount, the entire $2 billion would reach only 200,000 people.
He demanded to know why those dollars should end up "under the pillows of the rich" instead of paying for medicine for patients with epidermolysis bullosa. He said the crisis mattered more than the Strait of Hormuz and declared that, if he did not fear hell, he would set himself on fire outside the central bank.
Parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf then said he had learned of the policy through the media and did not understand why it was approved. The regime's own leaders are publicly fighting over how to spend dollars they cannot afford to waste.
The rial has lost more than half its value against the dollar in a year. Inflation is above 70 percent. Iranians are fleeing into dollars and gold because each new currency drop threatens their savings and raises the cost of essentials.
The Islamic Republic blames an external economic war. Inside its own parliament, officials are accusing the central bank of helping the rich while ordinary Iranians pay for the collapse. That fight is now happening on camera, in public, as the currency keeps falling.
Excellent @nytimes article on the economic meltdown in Iran. The regime isn’t paying nurses and teachers who are quitting to survive. Pensioners are no longer getting their pensions. The blockade and US sanctions are exacting a heavy toll…https://t.co/xQGGsykoU3 via @NYTimes

Sorta. Closing NYT paragraphs paint the picture more as s Mexican standoff. If the NYT accurately reported the situation they would say; "if necessary, the US and GCC allies can maintain the naval blockade almost indefinintely."
