Why start with a 10 day closure just to lift it a few hours later?
This strikes me as an FAA vs. military spat that likely got resolved at a higher level. I suspect someone at one of these organizations is in a lot of trouble.

Here's hoping nothing snuck across the border (virus wise, intentionally or unintentional) and this is the first step of many to ensure containment.

They have been flying drones and delivering drugs by drones over the border for years. I think these were big drones. Not the dinky drones

I don't want to understate their abilities, but they aren't sophisticated enough for this.

This deal is odd, the "cartels" have been flying drones across the border for years, in prolly lots of locations. BP friends have shared videos withe me of agents shooting Mex drones down and have also relayed how they track them via the Aerostat and radar coverage.
There have been helicopters, small planes, and years back basically kamikazi crop dusters that would cross the border and drop dope or souls.
And some of that has been close to other comercial airports. This is just a weird deal to me, save for someone flying drones into and very close to the airport.

Maybe the rumors of Iranian shoulder launched missiles crossing the border were true?

I would be suprised if the cartels did NOT have missiles.Several countries would gladly sell them to the cartels.

I wonder if the cartel drone incursion is in response to land seizures announced Feb 10th?Quote:

Maybe the administration is sending a signal to the cartels to knock it off. There's a new sheriff in town and these are the new rules.RGV AG said:
