I'm not giving it back.
God loves you so much He'll meet you where you are. He also loves you too much to allow to stay where you are.

Very humbling, if you listen to Trump at the end, he says "I never thought I'd have this on"

A side of Trump they never show

In case y'all missed it, apparently the men's hockey team has utterly failed to meet the cultural moment. I wonder what she's going to do the next time she hears "Freebird" on the radio.

Quote:

Like many United States hockey fans, I grew up loving Miracle. I wasn't born yet when the United States stunned the Soviet Union en route to the gold medal at the 1980 Winter Olympics, but I knew the story as if it were my own lived memory.

I was, however, alive for Sidney Crosby's golden goal for Canada at the 2010 Winter Olympics that took down the United States. As a teenage Philadelphia Flyers fan who saw her greatest NHL rival score for her greatest international rival, the goal broke my heart. I had suffered many disappointing sports results before and have since, but none have stuck with me the way Crosby's goal has over the years.

So, to see the United States men's hockey team finally win Olympic gold in my lifetime was a dream come true. What has happened since has been nothing short of a disappointment.

Just learned something kinda weird/crazy that might prove we live in a simulation:

Jack Hughes (born 1957) was the last player cut from the 1980 miracle team according to the movie miracle.

Jack hughes (born 2001) scored the game winning goal against Canada

Maybe we do live in a simulation

Video (NSFW-language), shows Hughes getting cut and his name taken off the locker.

Mama Hughes a great hockey player in her own right....mother of NHL stars Jack, Quinn, and Luke Hughes, is an accomplished former hockey player who played for the USA Women's National Team, winning a silver medal at the 1992 World Championship. A standout at the University of New Hampshire, she was a 1991 ECAC Division I All-Star.

I watched this earlier, really a fantastic video, I know we have a lot of commercial pilots on here, I have a question, is this a normal rotation or are these boys showing off a little because it's looks like they gave the team a little ride, that climb looks a touch steep or is it a camera angle

Certainly not a pilot here, but I think 757s are known for their steep take-off. Also, it may be standard procedure given their usual VIP passenger load. Get away from any ground threats as fast as possible.

SIAP - I overheard this nickname when a couple of the USA Hockey players referred to Johnny Gaudreau by his evidently well-known and trademarked nickname, Johnny Hockey. And you guessed it, its in reference to our very own Johnny Football.

Had not heard it before, quick search yielded no posts.

If this sounds at all like Johnny Manziel's "Johnny Football" nickname and trademark, it should. Around the time Manziel was making runs at the Heisman Trophy for Texas A&M, Gaudreau was making runs at the Hobey Baker Award (NCAA hockey's Heisman equivalent) as a sophomore at Boston College. Thus, the name "Johnny Hockey" was born.

Dems are fercked in the head so hard it would be expected a few screws were loose.

I saw a video where some are eating subs, which I don't think McDonalds serves.

BTW - I assume there must be a way for them to prepare McDs on premises. For those that partake, probably beat McDonald's they ever had.
