I wish I could have been on this call to hear corporate rip their ass and likely show them in the franchise agreement where is says they can't do what they did.

So I can keep my Diamond status and points now?

That's good 'cause I really didn't want to start over. If Marriott offered me a swap like the airlines used to do, I'd probably do it on principle.

If this is true I will not stay on a Hilton property again.

My guess a mid level manager will be fired for this.

Get on the Marriott forums on Flyertalk and see if there are any status matches.

Speaking of, I am sure they have a topic on this. Politics are typically verboten.

I will avoid Cisco, TX for the rest of my life because of this.

I've been Hilton Diamond off and on for 26 years, but this is the last straw for anything Hilton.

Except for reruns of one of my favorite shows.

While it wouldn't surprise me if Hilton did this, is there a link to something not social where falsehoods and AI generated stuff can provide things that aren't real?

Hampton Inns, Homewood Suites, and Home2 Suites are all Hilton affiliated properties. Keep that in mind if you don't appreciate this liberal ass stunt pulled by Hilton properties in Minnesota

Switch to Hyatt. Points go a lot further. Only downside is smaller number of properties vs. Marriot

So in the last 90 days we've seen billions stolen by immigrants running illegal daycares, billions stolen by immigrants defrauding housing subsidy programs and now a company quite likely owned by immigrants has the balls to tell the government they can't enforce immigration law while staying their hotels. All in Minnesota. Is that the most corrupt state in the union? I would have predicted California but apparently I would have been wrong.

This really is breathtaking to watch. A deep blue state utterly and completely corrupt. This is my shocked face.

Seems like half the hotels in the US are owned by Hilton. This will be a difficult boycott.

Shouldn't be. I've stayed at a Hilton property exactly once in 20-30 years.

Likely an independent owner / operator that operates under the Hilton flag. Doubtful that Hilton corporate made that decision.

Yep, seems to be some entity called EverPeak, run by Indians, dot not feather.

They all are. Would wager 80% of Houston hotel/motels outside of the high end stuff is owned by Indians. They run the hospitality and c-store segments of the market nationwide lol

VERY VERY low barrier to entry business that requires a good deal of hands on (which they can be good at) especially when they utilize a lot of family in the business

Great point. Its typically all family up top at least and sometimes their entire immediate family and cousins/siblings of the patriarch depending on scale.

Further... Remember they operate on the Caste system. So the manual labor of the job they will likely hire out. The cleaning and maintenance aspect is absolutely beneath them. But they will absolutely make their hotel or gas station sound like they're running a Fortune 500.

I was Marriott Platinum now Marriott Gold

there are literally thousands of different Marriott properties around the country.

Marriott has over 6,200 locations in the U.S. across more than 30 brands, ranging from luxury (Ritz-Carlton, St. Regis) to select-service (Fairfield, Courtyard), with Texas, California, and Florida leading in property count, offering diverse experiences for every traveler

Parmjit Singh
Amanpreet Hundal
Karandeep Nagra
Mohinderjeet Kaur.

Corporate Entity: Everpeak Hospitality is registered in Owatonna, Minnesota.

Acquisition: The group reportedly purchased the property in August 2025 for $15 million.

Switching to Hyatt is good if you are planning to change teams. IYKWM

But sure go ahead and funnel money to the freaky trans loving family of Pritzkers.

True. Anything in that price range can suck unless the hotel is new. And even then they may be using cheap beds and towels.

But not a readily available as Hilton brands in more rural areas.

I tend to go back and forth with these two. I'm lifetime diamond and platinum, so it really doesn't matter to me. I just go where the cost is better and points go further. If I'm in a city, 9/10 I'll be at a Marriott property. If I'm in a podunk, it's a Hampton or their Tru brand that pops up now.

Don't switch to Hyatt. They're owned by the Pritzker family.

I just recently learned that the Pritzker's owned Hyatt which is very unfortunate since Hyatt is known to have the best point conversion formula in the CC points world. You can get some great deals with them and there was a specific property we were looking at staying this year due to points.

And yet Nick Sortor and the rest of the pitchfork brigade are still out there screaming about destroying Hilton.

Hilton didn't do it, a single location run by a bunch of Indians (dot, not feather) did, and corporate dropped the hammer on them, and yet somehow the entire company is to blame.

Looks to me like Sortor just went to verify the statements were true and being followed. Turns out Everpeak lied / tried to sweep it away and it was exposed again forcing Hilton to further action.

Heck, they may send Sortor a free night award for giving Hilton the ammo needed to really distance themselves from these hotel owner / operators.

Indian. I will give Hilton props for getting out in front of it rather than doubling down like Bud Light did.
