Any possibility is because men use it less? Maybe it's actually a good sign

Whatever happened to romance novels where if a gal wanted an unrealistic man to do unrealistic things she could read all about it?
Have you seen women's literature lately?
No. Tell us about it.
One way to test a woman's honesty is ask them if their romance novels are porn. If they vehemently deny it and insist that it's literature and not just smut, and that it doesnt compare in any way to visual porn, then she's full of ***** When I ask women I've dated about it they admit it. It also helps them see that they can't really judge men for being sexual creatures, when they themselves do the same thing. At least guys don't hide it and pretend like they're above that type of behavior and thinking. It takes away one bullet they like to use against men.
It's like when women claim that all men are cheaters and women would never do that, so all cheating behavior is 100% on men. When I point out that I guess men who cheat on their women must be all gay then, since they never cheat on women with other women, they get very defensive. Apparently there's one ****ty woman in the entire world who sleeps with all the cheating men, as women just aren't capable of cheating apparently. My ex who cheated on me, but claims all men are ready and willing to sleep with anything that walks, can't see the hypocrisy to this day. But of course, she's just a victim, like modern women love to be. Men are all scum by default, but luckily at least the porn card is off the table.
We're not as different as women like to claim. There's good and bad with both. But in the end, we do the same horrible ****, but men at least own it.

This is another area that China is dominating the US. Porn and woke mind virus nonsense is probably the most destructive force in the west. Its detrimental impact on large swaths of American youth is yet to be seen.
On the bright side, there is a growing youngster demographic that understands this, and the Kirk assassination only strengthened their awareness and discipline.
Why do you assume it's just China behind it? China is not known for a well thought global dominance strategy over its 4,000 years give or take.
China has allies, friends and probably a non-Chinese person or two they coordinate with.
Would not surprise me if the CIA didn't give China the access and algorithms for something like TikTok. Hence the careful acquisition of the company.
There, my tinfoil moment for the day.

Pron will fry your soul. Avoid it at all cost. It's worse than heroin. It will addict you and then destroy you.

Pornhub has released its annual Year in Review report, revealing women are tuning in to X-rated videos at record rates.
In 2025, the fairer sex made up a sizable 38 percent of all visitors to the adult website, a 14 percent surge since 2015.
In the Philippines, Colombia, and Argentina, women now make up a majority of Pornhub visitors.
In Mexico, the stats were almost split: 48 percent of all visitors to the site this year were female

Culture rot.

Does it really matter what a woman is using to get herself off? I mean, if it's a novel or online pron, she's obviously not getting it with a man.
Still, it is fun to see that women really are no different than men. Soon there'll be a story about how women actually want to have the sex and initiate it with their man?
The horror, said no one ever.

For some people who are inherently predisposed to having an issue with it, sure. It's like any other activity that provides a dopamine hit. Some folks can handle booze, pot, gambling, porn, whatever, without addiction. Others can't.
Plenty of reasons to demonize pron but I think that the inability of a subset of the population to handle it without getting addicted falls within the same scope as any other potentially addictive activity. And no, I'm not particularly a fan of the stuff overall.

Eh they already read more porn than guys watch porn anyway. So might as well go from the romance smut to the real thing. At least now they can't judge guys for it and look down on them, even though they literally do the exact same thing but in a different format. If it takes away the hypocrisy and judgmental attitude, then it's a win.
Evidently the dudes are reading these sexy time books as well.
My wife and our 20yo old niece were discussing their smut novels and niece was saying she was talking about the book in question at a FRATERNITY with two of the frat BOYS. She said she knows are sorts of dudes reading these books.
What the ****.

The romance industry is quite varied. Romance readers are some of the most voracious out there and will churn through books at a dizzying rate. In fact a bunch of Romance authors are self published because it is so lucrative compared to traditional publishing
People like to point to stuff like above as how crazy the genre is, bit it's really quite varied and diverse. You can find every level of spiciness you can think of including very tame "closed door" romance that doesn't describe anything explicit. Sports romances are really popular right now as well.
There's also a huge subgenre of Christian Romance that generally sticks to traditional Christian values and place a high importance on faith.
When it comes to guys I college reading romance, they know what's up. A ton of women from find it very attractive when they hear a guy reads romance books. I can almost guarantee those guys have no issues foond dates, casual or otherwise.
In my experience, having a significant other who is into romance is great. For you fellas out there who have a partner that's into romance books, I suggest being a touch open minded and asking them about what they are reading. It can really do wonders for a couple's intimate relationship.
Full disclosure: My wife writes romance among other things. I have been to many a romance book convention and have multiple friends who (men and women) who write romance books.
