DOGE has been doge'ed. Gone. Finis.
Don't be fooled. It was another badly run venture that had some successes but by and large failed. None of Elon's boasting panned out.
Now they cannot say it is over, so they say dumb things like "doge principles will live on". Whatever dude.
Dude, what happened to you? You seem to believe whatever fits your current internal monologue. Seriously, when did you fall off the cliff? Your posts have turned into pure vitriol. Was it Trump getting elected? You think Biden's administration was doing great work? You think some other version of the uniparty with never ending GMO's sucking every penny out of you and I was and is working?
I'm not crapping on you. I honestly want to know. What would great look like for this country in your eyes?
I am an American and a Texan born in Dallas. I want the best for my country. I believe this is the same for almost everyone here.
I also voted for Trump in all 3 elections. Just some background for you.
I still am on the Trump bandwagon as I see him as the only hope to reverse the hollowing out of America. Biden sucks and I am glad is he out forever.
That said, DOGE was a great idea but I think it was implemented poorly. I wonder if Elon was really altruistic with it or had some ulterior motive? I don't know, but I don't trust the guy. As of today I still trust Trump though some of his H1B pronouncements have been confusing but I will watch his actions, not his words.
Cutting Government waste is a great idea. Since Elon is a great successful CEO (which he is) I expected it to be done more professionally but he went to work with a chain-saw so it would look more spectacular. Pissed off other department heads. There is a way to do things for maximum impact.
Once Elon left, they should have had a new DOGE head, if there is no one knows who he/she is. It seems to be rolled under another dept which is codeword for "we are getting rid of it but we can't openly say so".
We are on the same team but we should also call out the mistakes/faults of the team we support.
