100% correct. And I think it goes back to MAGA. The problem is that Trump is not conservative.

He just wants to prop himself up, even if that means abandoning conservative ideals.

He is a liberal, but MAGA thinks he isn't.

Just look at the posts on this page on Cheney's death. He's the most conservative VP we have had in my lifetime and people on this board hate him.

You're lost. Turns out that Cheney is just a profiteer. He proved that he had no principles. The Bushes and Cheneys are just swamp creatures who sold out the country to advance their own financial interests.

Having to use "swamp creatures" tells me all I need to know about how much of the Trump koolaid you've drank.

I used to not mind Tucker, but it seems like he's flipped a switch to holding completely outlandish takes. I didn't listen to the Nick Fuentes od, but I did listen to him on PBD's podcast to know enough about him. Nick is the type of guy that the more of a platform that he gets, the more the media will propagate all of the uneducated into thinking that all Republicans are basically him.

I honestly think that both Tucker and Candace have been paid handsomely by someone to create a divide among the party. It sucks because as crazy and far left as the Democratic party has become, their major voices/influencers are at least unified into turning our country into complete crap. When is the last time anyone has heard a prominent Democrat voice denounce Sharia Law, the invasion of Muslims/Islam, their party pandering to illegals, transgender ideology, etc? Bill Maher is about the only one I've seen do it on a regular basis but his version of a Democrat is dying a slow death.

I'm definitely not a lib and was once a massive Bush/Cheney defender.

I think it's funny seeing everyone flounder around confused because their worldview is being rejected wholesale. This forum has no clue what is occurring among the youth because you all don't associate with the sections of the internet they use and vice versa. You live in entirely different worlds now.

Lies? Why did he drag us into a war with a country that had no WMDs and had nothing to do with 9/11?

It actually shocks me we still have "conervatives" defending this. Cognitive dissonance is a *****.

You would be extremely mistaken.

I am politically savvy. I know that Trump is not conservative on many issues at all. George W. Bush claimed to be, yet he governed much more liberally than Trump has. And his father was farther left. The Bushes have no principles. Everything they did was for themselves.

I do not agree with all of Trump's principles, but he is absolutely doing what he believes is in America's best interest, not what is best for his own family.

The ENTIRE WORLD thought they had WMD's. You think Cheney fooled them all, planted all the intelligence, all to make a profit? You cannot be serious. This is straight out of John Kerry's talking points.

This thread needs to be cancelled until OP can provide a lot more context, examples, and analysis.

"a couple of guys"?

"I saw a speech the other day"?

Really? That's pretty pathetic.

Yes, some of the usual board liberals have bitten off, but I don't expect much from them anyway.

But I would expect much more of normal posters.

John kiriakou talks about this in a podcast how even the CIA was wondering wth was going on with going into iraq instead of their primary objective which was osama in afghanistan. Hindsight being 20/20, iraq was a massive mistake just like libya. Americans have no business in the ME.

because you are clueless about what "cancel culture" actually is.

when a literal Nazi is given a platform to spew their BS on a popular podcast that is NOT cancel culture.

when millions of REAL conservatives state we shouldn't be giving literal Nazis a platform on popular podcasts- THAT is freedom of speech and not cancel culture.

That's revisionist history. Many countries came out against the war because their intelligence was better then ours. Remember freedom fries?

Even our own intelligence was much more muddled at the time. If you compare the WMD fiasco and the Russian Collusion fiasco with impartiality, you would have to admit how disturbing the parrellels are. In both circumstances, the powers that be ignored counter narratives so they could lean into the false narrative they wanted to be true for their own personal gain.

You can't call Cheney a conservative when he voted for Kamala. She's not some Kennedy or even Clinton Democrat. She was the furthest left Senator in her time in the Senate, a complete moron, and represents today's version of Democrats which are Marxists. Its OK if Cheney didn't like Trump, but trying to hand the country to far left radicals is the last thing a so called conservative would do.

I guess we will agree to disagree.

I think both Bushes were far more conservative than Trump. They weren't perfect, but they were conservatives.

Trump is not.

And he has enriched himself and his family far more than the Bushes. His sons have become literal billionaires as a result of him being in office. Bush is no billionaire. Trump was also on the brink of financial collapse in 2024.

Trump did more than vote for Clinton (Bill, at first, then Hillary vs Obama) he financially backed them with donations and spoke well of them, even calling Hilldawg a fine SoS.

Neither the Bushes, nor Trump, are conservatives.

Actually Bush 43 didn't vote for Clinton, Biden, or Harris. He openly stated he voted third party.

They weren't. Remember Bush and "no new taxes?" He lied to our faces. And Bush, Jr and Medicare part D and No Child Left Behind? And his attempt to grant amnesty?

They were moderate, at best. Trump governs MUCH more conservatively and puts America first.
