This week, everyone is finding out how much more they are going to be paying for health care. It's pretty bad. I feel that this may turn the tide just enough to push the majority against the Rs. Failures to timely pass a budget and shutdowns are a fundamental failure by both sides to do their jobs.

If a member of a Congress that failed to timely pass a budget was thereby disqualified from running for reelection, it would solve this problem, regardless of which part was in control. They'd find a way to get it done.

But there's no way that the required amendment to the Constitution to do so would ever happen.

Republicans have passed a CR to hold spending and fund the government. The democrats want money for illegals.
