I think the longer this goes on, the worse it is for Trump. They need to be out in front with the media to make it clear who is refusing to come to the table.

Rs were winning Oct 31st.

This week, everyone is finding out how much more they are going to be paying for health care. It's pretty bad. I feel that this may turn the tide just enough to push the majority against the Rs. It sucks, but Republicans need to get ahead of the issue, and I personally don't think they are doing that.

Dang so now all those recently canned Fed "workers" are going to lose their free junk food too. Sad.

Oh and it seems many of the left media are pointing at the Dems too, which is actually really weird.

I've flown multiple times since it started, including internationally.

Haven't seen anything different.

And if you want the poor people to get stuff, contact your Democratic representative and demand they stop voting against opening the government....

Houston had TSA wait times over three hours this morning, and it was similarly bad at times over the last three days.

And there were issues at other Texas airports as well, with quite a few cancelled flights also.

Anyone who flies will notice. We were waiting to take an international flight Sunday, got to the airport at 4:30pm for a 9:00pm flight because we were afraid of the delay. After checking bags we were in line for six hours, the airline held the plane for three hours because a sold out flight had 200 passengers standing in line. People we talked to who were flying domestically all re-booked later flights and were going to complete the process and sleep in a chair waiting for their flight.

If this gets close to Thanksgiving there will be riots. Our idiot overlords need to fix this!

Unfortunately we have created a system where we have two parties and neither of them are incentivized to end this insanity.

They listen to their bases, one of which is well represented on this board, and as you can see, the majority opinion is that the shutdown is good actually.

It will be interesting to see though if a chaotic holiday travel season changes any minds.
