Dems want the process to be as super-fast as the rebuild of Pacific Palisades.

They really do want everything run through something like the California Coastal Commission that considers every square foot built out a planetary wide catastrophe.

my guess is Supreme Court overturns this on standing.

Trump likely is going beyond what the law allows, but some lady walking by isn't the one to stop it. Congress has a mechanism to stop it if they choose.

The White House is not the property of the President. Any change should go through Congress for funding and approval. This is all a part of the frenzy Trump is in to build monuments to himself before the end of his term. How many other Presidents have built monuments to themselves while in office?

It's not a sacred place and the WH has been a 'work in progress' for 200 years. Trump didn't even tear down anything at the WH, just a 70 year old office building which was dilapidated that was adjacent to it. Only the facade of the main building/house is even older than the Truman restoration from 1949.

What JFK and Slick Willie infamously did at the place, to say nothing of the sacrilegious displays around Easter and Xmas by the Bidens disgraced the people/place much more than anything Trump has ever done/planned for it.
