He is the best but 40-50 year old game shows are still beating him during rush hour...

I guess if Beyonce can win a Grammy for best country album, you might as well give Colbert an Emmy. These awards aren't about actual accomplishments anymore.

As far as I can tell this Emmy award category has been around for 10 years.

This is the 1st time that creepy perma-grinned clown has won it.

One has to just look at who he was competing with to show that someone had to win.

He was the "best" of the worse.

Hollywood awards shows exist because it is anatomically impossible to kiss your own ass

Walter Duranty won a Pulitzer Prize for his dedication to hiding the crimes of the Soviets. So Colbert still has a way to go but a clear goal to keep in mind.
