If I shot 10 small deer in the neck from a similarly elevated position from 135 yards with a .30-06 and any variety of cheap Walmart ammo like a Winchester Silvertip or Rem Core-Lokt I wouldn't be surprised with a 60% exit rate and a 40% catch rate.

Cervical bones are hard and the neck muscles are dense and sinewy.

Would I expect it to exit, yeah, probably. But it wouldn't surprise me at all to see it not exit.

For one, I believe these Godly folks are not liars. Two, I believe I'm not blind - he was not wearing armor. Three, bullets can do unpredictable things when they hit tissue. It was under his skin, so it did nearly exit.

There was a show done about 15 years ago where a "ballistics expert" (whatever that means) shot a couple seemingly accurate ballistic targets that closely resembled human flesh, organs, skeletal structures and all the other associated parts. I'm not an expert but they looked cool and anatomically realistic with the outer layer being transparent and the vital organs and structures having color.

He shot it with the same Carcano and same heavy 6.5 mm round nose jacketed bullet that was found next to Kennedy.

He was elevated at the same height and placed at the same distance from ax exact model of the limo and they fired. The round behaved nearly identical to the magic bullet theory and was captured on slow motion film and analyzed.

It went through the first dummy very close to where Kennedy was hit and it exited out the throat, went through the second dummy and though his wrist and thigh.

I'm just glad it was immediate and he didn't have the fear. One second he was talking and the next second he was wherever he went. Of course I hope (and want to believe) he went to heaven. I guess it doesn't matter if the lights just go out.

Short of the opportunity to say goodbye, it was about the best way we can go out. Soldiers go out that way but they know it's a possibility. He probably never thought it was a threat.

All in all it was better than most modern deaths where it's a drawn out affair of "fighting".

I hope he's watching and sees the impact he made. It's about the only solace I can find in this senseless event.

He apparently made some comments about certain influential black women being in their positions due to DEI and how everybody assumes they are unqualified for the job or something to that effect. He was not wrong, because they were where they were because they were black and female (KBJ was one and I think KJP was another that he mentioned). My recollection was that he was trying to express how the existence of DEI policies in hiring causes people to assume that minorities who are hired were hired because of their race, and not because they were the most qualified. That is also true. The lefties took it to mean he was saying that all minorities who are hired are not the most qualified which is definitely not what he was saying at all.

Van Jones said that it was because he claimed that the Charlotte transit killing was race related. Kirk said that based on the perpetrator saying." I got that white girl." Right after he killed her.

Apparently, that was wildly irresponsible of Kirk to assume any motive there, but Van Jones says we still don't know why Kirk's assassin did what he did.
