Not sure teachers in these states needed other reasons to not teach in Oklahoma, but ok.

Maybe if liberals were more interested in teaching children the basics instead of indoctrination we wouldn't have such a ****ty system nation wide. You do realize that 90 percent of teachers are liberal, right?

Oklahoma has the worst education system in the Country, not sure many people from CA and NY are going to be pursuing a job there in the first place.

This idea that teachers are pushing some kind of liberal agenda is crazy.

The reality is more likely that teachers in public schools are forced to teach every kind of kid, and are empathetic to their upbringing and understanding of their cultures in a way ultra conservatives don't want to be. It's an already impossible job and with every new conservative legislation that gets pushed the pool of quality teachers that actually give a **** about children and don't give 2 ****s about where they come from diminishes and the systems get worse.

They are trying to destroy a version of the country you like. As both sides get further and further away from compromise both sides think the other is intentionally trying to do harm. You may actually be right.

Take this move by Oklahoma, it will provide absolutely zero value since we know teachers are licensed and educated already, but it will piss off the left, which was the only actual goal. Talk about unproductive.

They're not called "bleeding heart libs" for nothing.

Just left a new parent meeting at our homeschool coop. Listened to all the parents talk about their reasons for leaving local (suburban Oklahoma) public schools.

Common refrains were unchecked bullying, politicization of the classroom, "woke" students taking over the classrooms, low standards/passing everyone, teaching to the test and too much time on test prep.

These aren't wild internet impressions. They are real world parents choosing a harder more expensive route for a better education for their kids. To dismiss it as figment of their imaginations is to ignore real problems.
