Lotsa "white man's burden" sentiment even from TexAggers. The feeling that a brown/black needs to be allowed into one's home just because they are downtrodden and we are lucky and the chosen ones.

3 people agreed with the OP, and from that you surmised "Lotsa" white man's buden from Texaggers?

LOL

It's up to 8 now, which is downright sad where we have that many supposedly college educated people that are that dumb.

And there are more who haven't posted.

Let's admit, this is a problem. We still live in a 70s mindset where US was the top dog and we were really rich (not fake rich with the $38T debt) and we could afford to help others. Now we are beggars and foreigners come to our cities to rape us of jobs, products, land, houses, money etc.
We have a lot of people who buy in to the idea that "Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free" should overrule the Constitution and all of our existing immigration laws.

We live in the past. China and India are laughing at us, though they are smart enough not to do it publicly. They kiss our ass in public (most of the time at least) while build up capability and self-reliance while the idiots that we are, we have outsourced more and more critical things assuming that everyone loves money over everything else like we do. China and India are sacrificing immediate monetary gains over long term strength and leverage.

We are not the world's leaders (in other words, the world's keepers of worthless useless people)

Most of you haven't lived, lived not traveled, for any extended time in a 3rd world county. You can live a good life there. It's not all about money. Some of you act like there is only one place to live.

This "teacher" has a first world education, speaks fluent English and has opportunities most of his countrymen could only dream of. Now he can go home and make his home better, start a business and live a great life in his new home.

Some of you act like life is over once you're deported. He can do just fine in Brazil. Stop whining.

Lolwut? Maybe you should tell him that. The rest of us are mocking him because Brazil is fine and an asylum claim is laughable. We don't care where these people are from. If you are not here legally, you have to go back

Alves-Rocha is also wanted by Brazilian law enforcement on theft charges, and that is just what we know about. I look forward to seeing him do well in jail.

The asylum claim is because he does not want to go to jail.

How about you just give me the list of all other countries in the world who do not enforce immigration law. I'll hang up and listen. You've been brainwashed. Follow rules of host country or GTFO!

Teacher Detained by ICE After 'Overstaying Visa' - Newsweek https://share.google/pwwwRUlL2hcoh5VFs

I know you all are going to give me a hard time on this one but...

I'm scratching me head on this one.

Especially if it was a STEM teacher.

I'll hang up and listen.

You do realize that work visas have time limits, and the visa holder has to go back to their home country if it expires. I dealt with a couple of H1B folks in a past job. They did what they were supposed to do and went back to their home country and applied for an extension from there.

I have a few on my team. They are responsible adults and plan their trip back to the homeland for their reapplication. It might be a PITA, but it's what's expected and they understand and follow the run rules.
