The whataboutism is just a way for the right to shirk responsibility. President Trump promised exposure and accountability. Congress passed a law mandating Bondi's DOJ release the files. Previous admins deserve all the criticism you want to give, but this one promised and then was compelled by law and still thinks the play is to protect pedophiles. And, everyone goaltending for them is a hypocrite.
26 people starred this, but perhaps you can explain exactly how they are "protecting" pedophiles and the indisputable evidence out there that could make an iron-clad case against any of the accused. This #$&@ has to go to trial, and with all of the absolute BS floating around about child sacrifices, bodies on Trump's golf course he didn't own, pickled kid's feet, etc…….your obvious legal expertise is waiting to shine. How would you put together the cases for the prosecution, and what evidence and witnesses would you present?
People draw these conclusions because of how freaking poor and inconsistent the messaging has been on this issue from the Trump admin.
In 2024 and prior, you have Trump saying he would release the files. Vance demanding they be released. Bongino and Patel saying that there was no way Epstein killed himself.
Bondi states in February that a client list is on her desk.
Then in office, they hand out binders with social media influencers and try to gaslight the public into thinking that the files were released. Despite it just being a reskin of already publicly available information.
Then Bondi retracts her prior statement.
Video footage from Epstein's jail is released and is shown to be doctored and missing a minute.
Patel confirms that Epstein killed himself and that no one other than Maxwell and he were involved. His explanation: trust me bro. Complete 180 from stuff he was peddling on his podcast.
Then in the summer, Trump said that the files did not exist.
Then he and his admin tried to call the entire Epstein case a democrat hoax.
Now, as stuff has started to trickle out, lies are starting to become more clear. An old FBI document that listed six co-defendants that were redacted, points to the thought that we were incapable of charging anyone else being false. It became clear that Howard Lutnick lied through his teeth about his relationship with the guy.
When there has been this much back and forth and inconsistency, it is natural for people to believe that they are being lied to. Especially when you have a government that has lied to you about the Vietnam war, numerous middle eastern conflicts, the addictiveness of Opioids, the COVID pandemic, the impact of transing children, and much, much more.
