The novice Trump appointed people that were not loyal to him in his first 4 years. They leaked, betrayed and worked against him. The experienced Trump didn't make the same mistake this term, except maybe for Tulsi.

More like 20 years and they got derailed or sidetracked multiple times by outside interventions, sabotage or sanctions and treaty terms that slowed them down while allowing them to continue work towards their goal with more resources and otherwise unhindered, and develop delivery systems to make them strategically useful.

This has been a slow and calculated progression, and they dialed it back when they were getting too much attention.

Funny, I watched clips earlier this evening on Fox News of Gabbard testifying in March that Iran is the closest it has ever been to having a nuclear weapon.

This forum loved Tulsi because boomers here thought she was attractive and because she embarrassed Harris in a debate.

There sure are a lot of nuclear engineers (or were) in a country that isn't persuing a nuclear weapon. Maybe they're ALL like that guy in Margin Call who was a rocket scientist but found using his skills in finance was more profitable.

All the dozens of them.

All in the Iranian financial markets.

All willing to be/knowing they might be taken out by Israel.

Iran has had a nuclear program since the 50's, that actually expanded under the Shah. They've been pursuing nuclear power for a long time. Nuclear engineers don't learn how to make a bomb in engineering school - I know plenty of nuclear engineers (at least beyond theory). Iran actually is one of the most educated countries in the region, lots of engineers, PhDs, chemists, etc.

Also, on the Tulsi Gabbard issue, it concerns me that y'all want her to fall in line and be on message when it comes to something like this. Do we not remember how the Bush administration fell in line on WMDs in Iraq? How Colin Powel held up a random container of white powder and said "Saddam has anthrax," and how the media and the administration manufactured consent for a war that led to the deaths of thousands of Americans, and 10's of thousands of life altering injuries? Not to mention the 100's of thousands of Iraqi casualties, the rise of ISIS, and trillions of dollars of debt? Colin Powel by the way later stated how he regretted that.

I think some of y'all are 100% right, that Trump shouldn't surround himself with yes men/women. But when you're upset that his advisors aren't sticking to an agenda, and are voicing dissent, that is concerning. I think the American people deserve to know if we're going to war based on lies.

I've posted some of these before, and I'll keep posting them. And remember, everything is a psyop. Don't fall for it.

There is a cavernous difference between Gabbard having her voice heard by Trump and not being a yes man compared to creating online content undermining the administrion.

Her job is to report to the president and serve at his pleasure. She owes him a duty of candor, but also of loyalty.

If that's too hard, then go find another job.

This. Stuxnet set them back considerably. I'm sure there were other things that made them stumble on their way to building nukes. To have enrichment facilities deep underground is enough to know this regime is up to no good. Israel has done the dirty work. Time for us to bore into the ground and blow it all up.

Saw a poll on NEWSMAX that said 65% of MAGA wants us to finish the job. 51% of "generic" Republicans want the same. Do it. Trump is on the way to making the ME region much more peaceful and prosperous which will curtail much of the migration from the region. Truly a great common sense President.

After watching Trump for nearly 5 years as president, you seriously believe what you wrote? Sorry, but that's laughable. It's the exact opposite of what the facts are, so you're deluding yourself.

Every single time anyone in his administration has ever gotten off message, he has fired them and it usually ends up being extremely contentious. The only people he wants in his administration are ones that stay on message and agree with him. Any reasonable person can see that.

Which brings up a good point………if I were in the administration, I'd keep my mouth shut. Trump's message changes as frequently as a magic 8 ball's answer.

This is a pattern with Trump I don't particularly like. His closest advisors should not be sycophants. They should be able to feel free to give him the best information they have available at the time.
Tulsi also may be suffering from John Kerry syndrome. People who have seen war will do anything not to ever have it again. Not necessarily a bad thing but sometimes you need to fight.

To take your point further …

As Dick Cheney once said, "I serve at the pleasure of the president. When it is no longer his pleasure … I will no longer serve". The staff of the president is to serve the president and execute his agenda.

Gabbard's personal opinions on policy expressed publicly are not relevant. Her public comments should be centered around what she is doing to accomplish the goals of the president. If she has challenges in that area it is completely the president's prerogative to end her service and appoint someone who will be more effective executing his agenda.

Nice attempt to deflect what I said, but I really wasn't talking about nuke engineers that primarily work on nuke power plants, nuke subs, etc. I also think you knew that and knew exactly what I was saying, even if I didn't use precise language. Name one Iranian nuclear engineer who wasn't working on a bomb program who the Israelis have knocked off.

What are the nuclear engineers in Iran working on if not weapons related projects? It sure isn't a civilian nuclear energy project. Their current energy costs make nuke power not feasible. That isn't the case with the US.

Iran isn't building a civilian nuclear program

As far as the historical Iran nuke programs, are any of the folks who were working in those programs and under the Shah still on the Iranian payroll?

Nuclear weapons are 80 year old technology. It is not like they're having to recreate the Manhattan Project and figure it all out from scratch. A trained nuclear physicist can easily put what they learned toward building a nuclear weapon.

And if they're trying to build a uranium gun-style weapon, the physics are so simple someone without any nuclear training could build one. Heck, the design of Little Boy isn't even classified anymore. The only hard part is getting enough HEU to make a bomb.

Tulsi gave testimony in MARCH; a report by the IAEA dated MAY 31ST, literally the last day of the month, rebutted her claims. A news article dated JUNE 12TH is trying to incite an imaginary rift between Tulsi & Trump over her March testimony in light of the IAEA's JUNE revelations of Iran's past lies, BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY, the sudden new revelations & Iran's response of refusing any further inspections. It was these actions at the beginning of June by Iran (coupled with efforts to import large quantities of rocket fuel from China & elsewhere) that were the final breaking point for Israel (& others)!!!

The Tulsi/ Trump "alleged rift" isn't related to her tweet about the dangers of nuclear posturing, as that wasn't even directed at Trump; instead, it was referring to Putin & the EU's Stammer & Macron's reckless bravado.

Good grief folks. First Elon, then RFK, Jr., & now Tulsi; are the Dems desperately trying to get these figureheads back into the Democratic Party to provide some sense & pride since riding the Socialist, Progressive pony off a cliff has finally been recognized as a moronic, losing strategy?!?!
