The novice Trump appointed people that were not loyal to him in his first 4 years. They leaked, betrayed and worked against him. The experienced Trump didn't make the same mistake this term, except maybe for Tulsi.

Funny, I watched clips earlier this evening on Fox News of Gabbard testifying in March that Iran is the closest it has ever been to having a nuclear weapon.
these posts crack me up considering the last 4 yearsGhost of Andrew Eaton said:

Iran has had a nuclear program since the 50's, that actually expanded under the Shah. They've been pursuing nuclear power for a long time. Nuclear engineers don't learn how to make a bomb in engineering school - I know plenty of nuclear engineers (at least beyond theory). Iran actually is one of the most educated countries in the region, lots of engineers, PhDs, chemists, etc.91AggieLawyer said:
There sure are a lot of nuclear engineers (or were) in a country that isn't persuing a nuclear weapon. Maybe they're ALL like that guy in Margin Call who was a rocket scientist but found using his skills in finance was more profitable.
All the dozens of them.
All in the Iranian financial markets.
All willing to be/knowing they might be taken out by Israel.
This. Stuxnet set them back considerably. I'm sure there were other things that made them stumble on their way to building nukes. To have enrichment facilities deep underground is enough to know this regime is up to no good. Israel has done the dirty work. Time for us to bore into the ground and blow it all up.MouthBQ98 said:
More like 20 years and they got derailed or sidetracked multiple times by outside interventions, sabotage or sanctions and treaty terms that slowed them down while allowing them to continue work towards their goal with more resources and otherwise unhindered, and develop delivery systems to make them strategically useful.
This has been a slow and calculated progression, and they dialed it back when they were getting too much attention.

Almost like Trump has a team with different viewpoints and he listens and makes up his own mind. Kinda like how you are supposed to use advisors. HMMMMM

which president keeps advisors around that are off message in the media?
I guess your "point" was to avoid the question.aggiedent said:BMX Bandit said:

Which brings up a good point………if I were in the administration, I'd keep my mouth shut. Trump's message changes as frequently as a magic 8 ball's answer.
no one is asking her to be.Quote:

Yep all the conservatives pining for her might not have known her history very well. Not saying she's wrong here, because we don't know, but she's not a conservative and never has been.HDeathstar said:
Literally a democrat.

There is a cavernous difference between Gabbard having her voice heard by Trump and not being a yes man compared to creating online content undermining the administrion.
Her job is to report to the president and serve at his pleasure. She owes him a duty of candor, but also of loyalty.
If that's too hard, then go find another job.

"These claims have no basis in reality and they are a clear attempt to sow distrust amongst the President's cabinet. Secretary Hegseth and Director Gabbard remain critical and trusted members of the President's national security team." - Karoline Leavitt, White House Press Secretary
Nuclear weapons are 80 year old technology. It is not like they're having to recreate the Manhattan Project and figure it all out from scratch. A trained nuclear physicist can easily put what they learned toward building a nuclear weapon.Quote:
