Some of these suggestions I would argue against because they aren't purely Texan. Grits and pralines for instance. Sure, Texans love them, but they are very prominent items in other southern states.

Tried to keep my list as "texan" as I could. I'm from deep east Texas though, so I got a lot of southern and cajun as well

Same plant, different part. The *****ly pear is the flower bud and nopal is the tender new leaf.
