Grapefruit used to a major agricultural product of the RGV. Not sure if that's still the case, but growing up people who visited down there would always bring back bags of grapefruit.

I've had everything on the list except for bluebonnet wine. Didn't even know that was a thing.

Dude, how was grapefruit not on the list? I guess you've never been to South Texas? Ruby red was developed down there.
Used to be the grapefruit capital of the world.

Back in the 70s and 80s the Texas Aggie magazine would have advertisements to buy Rio Grande Grapefruit.

That was a great breakfast food growing up.

51. Being from a town which has a blueberry festival, I've had all sorts of blueberry oddities.

I've never had fried Gator, despite being from east Texas. If you let me swap it for frog legs, I scored 100%

I see it's bluebonnet, not blueberry. Googled it and only found a bluebonnet wine trail, of which Messina hof is a part. So, Ive had that.

It's the bitter. When I worked in San Antonio, we had a huge grapefruit tree in the work yard that produced thousands of grapefruit. I used to give the interns a taste when the grapefruit were the size of limes. They will make your lips go numb at that stage. Fun times

To be fair, I don't like much seafood to begin with. If God wanted us to eat seafood he would have made it taste like cow. But even if I did, most seafood is a filter for the water it lives in and the Gulf Coast is NASTY until you get to Padre

I like certain things from the gulf coast say more than other places honestly. Shrimp, oysters, and blue crab especially.

When the list has to put (cheese dip) after queso, the list maker is not from Texas. Said that above.

But, I looked up bluebonnet wine and the dude seems to have gotten that term from this:

If you've had MESSINA HOF, you've had what I think this guy is calling bluebonnet wine. I'm sure everyone on here has had MESSINA HOF.

Maybe it's called that by someone in Texas, but that term is not very "Texan" at all.
