My Dad never had cable tv or even internet service, but since the advent of digital broadcast television, he had about 45 or 50 channels that were in English. There was no shortage of things to watch. Although, he pretty much just watched the news and weather.
On PBS, Right? Right?!? /former NPR CEO (probably)

Nope. Usually CBS. Channel 11 out of Houston.

For the record, I don't think she's an idiot or out of touch. I think she's an ethically corrupt ideologue that can't come up with a better justification for NPR/PBS to continue receiving taxpayer money. She's probably compromised and worried about the very real possibility of some legal skeletons coming out of the closet.

Where else is she gonna make what she makes, with ample days off, health care, and retirement that is so good? And squeeze in 2 hours of work into 8, and move in the DC Cocktail crowd. And a media who lets them have zero consequences for bias or screw ups?
This is why the swamp rages. Their elitism is threatened.
But they have been screwing us worse than a fireman on a diesel locomotive. They deserve to hunt a job, maybe down size or work outside their degree plan. Lol, they may think they are elite, but have zero sense in how to adapt.

Like The Hamptons and Hudson Valley. I think they just got AOL through Kamala's broadband initiative last year.

Yep. Hard to believe people not smart enough to get an ID could possibly use modern technology.

The idiots like the woman in question would be shocked to find out the complexity of the decisions farmers often make. Or the amount of money farmers are "playing around" with. It's just another elitist insult.

AM radio does phenomenally well in rural areas. NPR is generally FM and good for city reception only.

I recall driving through New Mexico in the 1980s and the state put the NPR station in Albuquerque or Santa Fe on repeaters along the rural highways. Was the only thing to listen to back then in the car and we were bored out of our skulls. Thank God for satellite radio and streaming online stations now.
Trump will fix it.

Took a trip out to Big Bend country a few years ago and was surprised to learn they had gotten an NPR affiliate. What wasn't shocking was they it was based in Marfa

My two Aggie daughters grew up with 3 channels and pbs out of Shreveport that we let them watch Sesame Street and Barney on. Rest of time, they played, walked, went to library, rode the tractor, fed cows, and took ballet, visited cousins and friends, and went to church.
They didn't need internet or npr and could have got along without pbs.
Both were reading chapter books by 1st grade.
Didn't need govt to grow.

Same here and even at my age I was able to get the Starlink going in only 20 minutes or so. And 190 to 202 mbps.

But, I forgot that when it was made, Florida WAS actually a swing state.

Well according to many, you guys are the only ones who picked cotton or hoed a row. We all know all white people just sat in the house and ate bonbons.

Only white wives, who do nothing until 30 minutes before their husband comes home, eats bonbons.

Personally, I would rather have Laffy Taffy and frooties.

I've watched Aggie football lose from a deer blind more times than I'd like to admit. Nobody told me I could only watch three over the air channels using rabbit ears and a handheld radio for NPR when I'm down at the camp house.
