Just like OJ.

Yes, they think he should have just simply walked.

Whether or not he's guilty has nothing to do with it. Their entire concern is that he's black.

That's it, that's all.

They do not possess the capacity to think beyond that.

Dumb CourtTV black lady seems to think this is reversed on appeal easily because of the no blacks on the jury. Welcome to Texas *****. He's going away and staying away.

So facts don't matter with her?

No, they don't.

At all. They don't matter with anyone on the left about anything. The ends justifies the means.

They also don't matter one wit with blacks if it's a black being accused of a crime against a white person.

I hope this helps.

45:25 to be exact. These people are insane.

Don't think the guy is enraged enough.
There is only one constant, one universal, it is the only real truth: causality. Action. Reaction. Cause and effect.

If I'm not mistaken, for violent felonies Texas parole eligibility is half time. So for example if he gets sentenced to 30 he'll be eligible for parole after 15. There may be a way to reduce that even further through education, but I'm not sure.

Just for clarity...this is not for all violent offenses, but Murder is one of them and it must be half of the sentence in calendar time. It can't be lessened if he's elected pope.

The wild thing on that meltdown is their reporter that has been in the room has been decent this whole trial. You could tell he wasn't as sold on the murder charge as the F16 board but he knew this wasn't a good case for the defense

All white jury finds him not guilty…shocking. So many white people have killed black folks with even less justification than Karmelo had and were let off the hook for it. More and more I'm beginning to hate our ****hole of a state, which is sad as I used to be proud of being a Texan.

If my family and friends weren't all here, I'd leave.

Please leave and take all your family and anybody that calls you a friend with you.

DA overheard saying "they want sudden passion - that's ok with us"

The thought is defense wants that added to the sentencing documents and DA is ok with it being included in the documents.

You may want to read the thread. It's over.

Maybe I'm confused here, but my understanding is that now that he is convicted, the sentencing phase begins.

You are correct

The defense should have plead guilty and put the kid on the stand to show remorse and beg for mercy. They knew that, but apparently they also knew that he was not remorseful and probably would come off as the punk that he is.

If the jury thought the murder was committed in sudden passion, they can give less than 5 years.

The best example is husband walking in on his wife getting plowed and he kills her.

Gotta convince the family and the defendant to do that. They thought he would walk bc he's the victim just as they are

The sentencing phase has already closed after a very short witness presentation by the defense. The state chose not to call witnesses. Jury is deliberating.

All they had to do was get one black jury member and he walks. That's what they were counting on. It backfired.

I went back and listened again and heard the one guy say "he only stabbed him once", yes he stabbed him in the chest directly into the heart and killed him. He was asked to leave multiple times. Why do these court tv nutballs question that the jury came up with murder?! Sounds pretty dang murderous to me. Manslaughter seems more like an accident if anything but KA seemed to have intent to kill someone (he brought a knife with him after all).

You don't get to stab someone for touching you. And that's not just in Texas either.

He wouldn't have walked. There was no way that the DA wouldn't re-file.

So jury does not even have sentencing documents yet. It will take a while to get both sides to agree on those.

Maybe we get it done today, but they need to move it along.

Apparently the potential jurors who are black told the attorneys they can't be unbiased in this.

Oh okay. So they haven't actually gotten instructions. So they are in a weird position of sitting in the back Jury Room but they aren't allowed to deliberate on the sentence. I guess they're just going to talk about the weather.

No I think that's getting it a bit mixed up. From what I read the prosecution struck several educators including some who were black. Defense tried to challenge but prosecutors were able to convince the judge that they weren't being struck because of their race. Several other black people said they could not be unbiased and we're excused.

Which with such a clear chain of events, is an easy way to extricate yourself from having to sit through the whole ordeal and recognize an obvious guilty verdict, regardless of skin color.
