It's a beautiful evening tonight...sun is still out at 7:44 pm with DST.
It would have set today at 7:13 with Standard Time...
I'm happier this way.
But, then, I'm not at the bingo hall like SOME people.
If sunset is 7:13, it's still lightish at 7:44, certainly 7:30. If sunset is 8:13, it doesn't get actually dark until close to nine..June July, we can't see the big dipper until almost 10pm. and that's in the Hill Country, so not north at all.
I KNOW...it's great at my Dad's house at Medina Lake when you have all that daytime.
It's even BETTER down here on N Padre Island when we get more beach time!!!
But, you can always see the Big Dipper. You only get 4 hrs of sleep!
Sun setting at 9:13, last light at 9:48 tonight. Life is good.
And for the whiners, sun rises at 6:13. So yes the days are "longer," or at useable hours. Sitting inside all day working, it doesnt matter if it's light or dark outside. But when you're not working, staying light later is what truly matters in all of this. It sucks to go to work in the dark, but it REALLY sucks to go home in the dark and feel like you missed out on an entire day.
