Great. Now we get to fire 50% give them 2 weeks
Good luck with that.
A small amount of critical thinking would show that it's possible to trim more from an inferior segment and trim less if any from superior segments.
Where does the 50% come from then?

Same. Hopefully this judge issues some clarity on it. If so I'm taking it and then going on a 5 months taxpayer vacation and will spend the last 3 months double dipping with a private sector gig.

This is going to be a helluva government stimulus. Most will blow thru this severance in a couple of months, and be back to work before summer starts.

I hear several restaurants are still hiring servers…
Thats actually the response from Trump people yesterday, they thanked the judge for extending the offer.TRADUCTOR said:
Judge just gave the yahoos little more time to realize reality and take the buyout option instead of getting fired and getting NOTHING.

Gonna need a lot of farm hands after the deportations.
I believe military air traffic controllers were also brought in to bridge the gap.InfantryAg said:He did hire new ATCs, so not really equivalent.Ag with kids said:Reagan fired a large amount of striking ATC.Teslag said:ts5641 said:I bet you could have 60% leave and not notice one bit of difference in the average American's life.doubledog said:
2% will never be missed. Trump needs to drop a hint that next Monday the layoffs begin.
This would depend on the agency. If we lost 60% of our air traffic controllers or food inspection staff at USDA you'd feel it really quick.
Airplanes continued to fly.
It would provide President Trump the ability to blame the Federal Judge. Wondering if the Federal Judge is leaning to the left on their politics?FireAg said:
Fed judge just postponed deadline…
If I'm Trump, I pull back the offer and just start laying folks off…
For all we know, that was his plan all along…

And again, if your time isn't worth much then good on you for giving away for free.

Lol wut? I've never worked in payroll and only spent one 3 week AT in Germany.
How is it fraud? The VA and federal law literally tells you it's legal to work full time and draw VA disability. The only time you can't is if you claim 100% based on not being able to work.

Seems that enough veterans may be abusing the system that truly disabled veterans(re: missing limbs, traumatic head injuries, psychological problems, etc.) are not receiving adequate treatment. There are charitable organizations helping like the Wounded Warriors, DAV programs trying to fill the gaps(re: not arguing here that these organizations are completely ethical or not).Aggie Therapist said:

Speaking of vultures...
I was providing transportation for one of my Veterans to get goods at the food pantry in Killeen and there was a guy wearing all his jewelry, nice clothes and fancy shoes, loaded up his Cadillac escalade with free food. Of course he parked in the handicapped space, started blaring loud music and left. Dude has the biggest **** eating grin on his face.

Thank you for your response. Thank you for your service.Aggie Therapist said:
There are Veterans who abuse the system for compensation, yes. It's sad.
It's always the Veterans who deserve compensation that don't get it. One of my squad leaders in the Army refused to get the shrapnel taken out of his leg because he said it reminds him of his buddies. After a roadside bomb went off, he had to pick up pieces of their bodies off the ground. I still don't think he went in to file for disability to this day.
I have a Veteran on my caseload that is at 0% service connection disability and he went to Vietnam as an infantryman an was awarded the Combat Infantryman Badge. I would say the psychological impact of that led to his current state.
It is sad that people abuse the system, but I like to think that I am making a difference in the lives of those who need it.
My post above had absolutely nothing to do with the Escalade guy. Try rereading my post and you may begin to understand.Teslag said:Where did he say Escalade guy was a veteran?richardag said:Seems that enough veterans may be abusing the system that truly disabled veterans(re: missing limbs, traumatic head injuries, psychological problems, etc.) are not receiving adequate treatment.
