I'm super interested in MAHA fixing the food supply, and super skeptical about RFK Jr's attacks on things like traditional vaccines and the NRA. Yes, obviously, the job he's up for should have nothing to do with the NRA - but I dislike enemies of the 2nd Amendment.

I personally know 3 seperate people that went to Europe for 2 weeks last summer. All of them returned saying they didn't gain a pound after eating bread and pastries the whole time.
Line up 1 dozen adult Americans (male and female, chosen randomly) and line up a dozen from any other foreign nationality and I think you'll have a visual of the issue. RFK Jr just wants to make a fix the priority.

Without knowing the mechanisms involved, I am convinced:
- The food manufacturers want food to last for months, if not years , on the shelf to maximize profits
- The same want the food to be addictive so we eat way too much of it (many of these food companies employ the same scientists who maximized the addictiveness of cigarettes)
- The pharmaceutical industry wants us fat and out of shape so we'll take their drugs (that would be unnecessary without the above food manufacturers doing their thing).
When you see Cheetos in the US with 20 ingredients and Cheetos in Mexico with 5, you gotta ask what all that extra crap is for.

I do intermittent fasting to basically maintain my weight so I don't eat breakfast and my wife was like "you're not going to do that while we're on vacation."
