If investors want to see this, they can put it to a vote at the annual meeting.

More government and laws are not required.

Yeah because it is the little guy investors not the 3 large hedge funds which put people on the board / get things to pass. Lol.

If your business is privately held, it is none of the public's business to know. If it is publicly incorporated, then that privilege comes with whatever reporting and oversight requirements the public government bureaucrats imposed.

We already have massive compliance costs on our companies that drive up financial and regulatory reporting. If Gensler at the SEC had his way it would be more.

It has to stop.

This. I think a lot of offshoring sucks ass, but we are already overburdening companies with ridiculous reporting requirements. If you want this, you are no better than some ESG pimping nitwit. That's what this is - more ESG

Government bureaucrats don't get there without congress empowering them and finding them and congress doesn't get there without the voters. Ultimately we chose what is required.

You really think the American people choose all these regulations?!?!? Even Congress writes the laws in such a way that they leave tons of discretion to unelected bureaucrats. At least with Chevron overturned, the courts have reduced the power of the bureaucrats.

No, but we are ultimately responsible for empowering those that do. Hopefully we put in some people this time that can pare back many of the useless or harmful ones, but mere data reporting is relatively harmless compared to regulations that dictate and control activities.
