Reading a really good book - "Confronting the Presidents". I'm about 2/3 of the way through it. The book chronicles that throughout our nation's history, Democrat presidents opposed every Republican measure to bring freedom and voting rights to black people. Yet, in the modern era, Democrats have been successful in courting the black vote. It's so backwards. If I was a black man, the thought of voting for a Democrat would be 100 times more repulsive than it is for this middle aged caucasian man. How did they pull this off?

In a logical world, the people could easily see that Pepsi News Media Corp. is staffed 100% by people passionate for Pepsi who are married to people at Pepsi Co. and who have significant financial investments with them and therefore would question when PMC publishes stories that say Pepsi cures cancer while Coke kills puppies

Sadly we don't live in a logical world

Most republican politicians and party workers are idiots.

They willing pretend Dems don't lie all the time. And so they won't fight them as they need to.

I am one of the most extreme posters on here in how i call out dems and lefties. Why? It isnt because I am trying to wake them up. I literally believe they hate us and most want us dead. I want to wake up the right to understand unequivocally what they are facing. If you dont understand the rules of the game, you will lose everytime.

Trump won bc he realized he was in a brawl, and acted accordingly. Watching so many repunklicans go anti-trump bc he gives as good as he gets is both sad and laughable.

The Dems have been pretending to care about African Americans since the mid-1960s while literally enacting anything and everything they can to keep them "in their place!" In other words they actively show their racism and bigotry while saying something else. And Repunklicans just sit their with their thumb up their ass and let it happen.

Dems havent changed their beliefs since they started wearing their sheets. They have simply put the sheets away.

So wake up. The Dems and their useful idiots will lied, repunklicans let them, and gulliable people believed it - until Trump.

Many Republican politicians and party workers fail to see the reality of the situation. They willingly ignore the fact that Democrats lie constantly, and as a result, they refuse to fight back effectively.

I am one of the more vocal critics of Democrats and leftist ideologies. Why? It's not because I believe I can change their mindsthey despise us, and many seem to wish for our failure, if not worse. My goal is to wake up the right and make them understand exactly what they are up against. If you don't understand the rules of the game, you're doomed to lose every time.

Trump won because he understood he was in a fight and acted accordingly. Watching so many Republicans turn against Trump simply because he fights back as hard as he's attacked is both disheartening and absurd.

Democrats have been feigning concern for African Americans since the 1960s while simultaneously enacting policies that keep them disadvantaged. They demonstrate racism and bigotry through their actions while masking it with rhetoric. Meanwhile, Republicans stand idly by, doing nothing to counter this hypocrisy.

The Democrats haven't changed their beliefs; they've simply traded their sheets for subtler forms of oppression.

Wake up. Democrats and their supporters will lie, Republicans will allow it, and gullible people will believe ituntil someone like Trump calls them out.

There was a Black caller on Limbaugh one (I've told this on here before a few times) who was talking to Rush, seemed reasonably intelligent, and was espousing at least a few conservative positions, but admitted he routinely voted for democrats. So Rush asked him why. He said, and this is an exact quote, "It is in the blood."

I'd say this happened in the mid 2000s, some time after Rush came back from his sabbatical. Unfortunately, Rush didn't go as far as I would with the questioning, along the lines of what's been stated here: WHEN did it get into your blood? During the slave era? The Civil War? Jim Crow? When the democrat party was resisting civil rights legislation?

To be sure, I don't fully believe that ALL the civil rights legislation and/or court decisions in the mid-20th century were completely constitutional. But by that I mean that we didn't NEED them. What the original constitution didn't provide for, the 14th amendment did. Anyway, that goes beyond this discussion and more into my questions above. But my point is that to the extent the caller is correct above why Blacks indeed vote democrat, the answer is simple: it is a cult.

Because LBJ was a (D)... Democrats touted the idea that the Parties just switched. The fantasy was that the vote on the Civil Right bill had the Leaders switching parties.

The truth was that only Strom Thurmond switched Parties. He switched from (D) to (R). If you look at the rest, the (D)s that voted FOR the Law were Primaried and those that voted against it remained. One the (R) side, those that voted against it were primaried. Where the Parties started to change was the same-old-same old State's Rights issue about other impending legislation years later.

How the (D) did it was, they implemented welfare and handouts and then accused the (R) of being racist.

For example, Affirmative Action. They idea to force companies to hire Blacks regardless of qualifications and give them entrance into Colleges where they weren't qualified. If you were to say "Blacks and Whites are equally smart and should be judged based on their qualifications," you were labeled racist.

(D)s handed out Welfare. A single mom would get free gov't money. So, Black women no longer saw a purpose in married... in fact they were penalized if they got married. Black men didn't have to worry about child support because their baby-momma's were getting free money if they didn't support their baby-mommas.

In the Black community, babies were born like 21% to single moms in the '60s. Today, you get about 75% of Black babies born to single mommas.

When you say you want to reel in welfare, you are a Racist. If you want to require a Voter ID, you're considered racist.

Democrats, with Unions, were diligent in monitoring how Blacks voted to the point Blacks don't feel they have a choice. "If you don't vote for Biden, then you aren't Black." Says Biden.

Dallas is correct. The War on Poverty and The Great Society is when Democrats figured out that they could get the black vote through socialist programs; Welfare, Affirmative Action, building public housing tenements, Busing, etc.. Of course this destroyed the black family and communities for the same reason Universal Basic Income has failed to raise the standard of living wherever it has been tried. However, Democrats have never been held to account for this due to the MSM covering for them and the lack of critical thinking among blacks who have been brainwashed into thinking that the Democrat Party cares for them outside of getting their vote and failing to realize that Democrats have once again put them on a virtual plantation of dependency.

I've been pointing this out for years, and it's like people are mentally closed off from it.

When something is believed, no matter how false the belief may be, it seems like almost no amount of evidence can change the belief, unless the person with the belief chooses to consider they might be wrong...which most people are not willing to do.

They feed their constituents gruel, hold them down , enact policy that destroys their family structure and most of their real opportunities, and manage to convince them that they are the only option to " continue " the fight for them. It's beyond my comprehension how they have gotten away with this for over 60 years.

Pretty sure it started with JFK:

"During the 1960 presidential campaign, Kennedy interceded when King was convicted for a probation violation after participating in a sit-in in Atlanta. Following the recommendations of campaign advisors, Kennedy called Coretta Scott King to offer his sympathy and his brother, Robert F. Kennedy, made phone calls that helped hasten King's release on bail from Georgia State Prison at Reidsville. In a statement following his release, King told reporters he owed "a great debt of gratitude to Senator Kennedy and his family," and downplayed the candidate's political motivations: "I'm sure that the senator did it because of his real concern and his humanitarian bent" (Papers 5:39). Though pressed by reporters, King declined to endorse Kennedy, explaining that it would be inappropriate for him to do so as the leader of the nonpartisan Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC). On election day, Kennedy defeated Nixon by less than one percent of the popular vote, a margin of victory that highlighted the importance of African American support."

The way politics was taught in schools is that the parties switched several times, and I can't keep the flip flopping straight. Lincoln was a Republican BuT AkShUaLlY a Democrat. Same for Grant, Hayes, Garfield, Arthur, Teddy, Taft, and Hoover. Then the parties switched again after Truman and Ike was a Democrat. After JFK and LBJ, the Republicans stole the election with Nixon (who was very liberal and it was only his republican ways that lead him to wiretap everybody) and the Democrats took it back under Carter. Reagan was a California Democrat, he wasn't actually a Republican, Bush stole it from Dukakis, and we're in modern era.
Basically the way I understood it as taught in Denton High in 2005 was that I'd a president was good, he was actually a Democrat because the parties switched so many times. Though I did carry a C in that class because I kept speaking out about how it doesn't make sense for an entire political party thousands to millions strong to unanimously swap with the other party for a 4 year term or for a decade. "Democrats always believed slavery was bad," followed by "Southern Democrats are the party of Jim Crow and changed their name to Republicans following Nixon's southern strategy, not realizing Nixon was a Democrat because of Medicare and the EPA."

It was a Democratic administration that passed the civil rights laws of the 60's and primarily the Dems since then pushing anti-discrimination legislation. Ignoring of course that affirmative action, which they also pushed, is also discriminatory. The Dems are the primary authors of welfare, and since the African American population as a whole has historically been less well educated and mostly behind the curve in entrepreneurship due to previous discrimination, they have been major recipients of welfare dollars.

If you're trapped in a hole you reach for the extended hand. Once you're out of the hole though that hand is not necessarily as attractive as it was.

This is a topic I have studied and thought about extensively since college.

One element of these discussions that is often missed is that Democrats also have bought off the leaders and upper middle and upper class among blacks. How? Affirmative action dramatically helps them more than poor blacks. If you are well educated and have resources but you happen to be black you have a massive advantage. That goes from getting into colleges (though the SC ruling is having some marginal impact), scholarships, jobs after school, promotions, and especially business ownership in dealing with the government just for starters. You also had cottage industries that were created like Diversity departments that essentially created high paying jobs for middle and upper middle class blacks to do nothing. The leaders have consulting groups or other organizations that effectively extort money from businesses, this is where folks like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson made bank.

It's a huge temptation. If you fit one of those categories you may feel that its wrong or unfair that you get an advantage because of the color of your skin or know that the policies enacted weren't meant to benefit people like yourself but rather people in actual need but how do you turn down all of that money and opportunity? I remember a black kid who sat next to me in high school that I had better grades and SAT's than he did. I was able to get into A&M and UT. He got into Vanderbilt and got a monster scholarship. Now they have adjusted some of those policies over time but that's simply a matter of figuring out new ways to game the system.

Of course the inevitable problem that happened in admissions was many black kids were failing out at increasingly higher rates. I remember Thomas Sowell writing about this in Preferential Policies 30 plus years ago. The response? Create more garbage majors like African American Studies. Massive grade inflation where no one fails and graduation rates at elite schools were 90 percent plus. Essentially instead of basing off of merit and letting things naturally fall they changed the system, primarily at private schools. One issue I never hear talked about either is this has absolutely destroyed blacks majoring in a lot of engineering fields. Ironically if you find a black person at a top school majoring in engineering the odds are they are an immigrant or the child of immigrants and likely Christians from places like Nigeria. I do technical recruiting and the amount of US born black engineers I have apply from top schools is almost non existent, that wasn't the case 20 years ago. Why major in something hard like engineering though if you can make 6 figures in Diversity and you don't really have to work? It's very frustrating to me because I don't like to see skin color and I know there are some absolutely brilliant black kids that simply aren't being pushed into those fields where they could make an impact.

The key to selling it is to buy off the leaders and the upper middle class. If you do that then the masses below them are less likely to even know there is another path.
"The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help."

The dems have been much more shrewd than conservatives. They took lessons from Goebbels and knew you must control the message to control people. They took over education from K-PhD, the entertainment industry, and the media.
We've only heard one side for a very long time. Voting dem is now in the DNA of most blacks.
This is why the left is so animated about Musk and X. They know they cannot allow an alternative viewpoint or they'll lose.
