This is why you cannot support anyone who aligns themselves with the billionaire class. They do not care about Americans, only their own profit margins. They want cheap labor, which screws Americans over.

We need to be focused on candidates who invest in Americans by investing in our education, and infrastructure. We do not need to import labor to add button text to websites nor do we need to outsource those jobs.

Loser millennials and Gen z. All of my millennial cohorts own homes in desirable cities. Heck I didn't do anything in my twenties other than spend money and party, however I knew the game and played it well career wise. I have zero sympathy for people in my generation, I did the exact opposite of everything you described ie abiding by the social contract. Life is about leverage.

man it's almost as if oligarchs and the uber-wealthy prioritize their financial interests and those of the companies they run over the country itself, and if given the opportunity and power will shape the country in their own interest.

this is why we shouldn't allow individuals to legally purchase elections and give them a pass because we might agree with them on a few positions.

I think the issue is thought that's always been the case in America. One of the things that makes us so great. There is always hope and opportunity to do even better than your parents. In many/most countries that mindset doesn't even exist. You know you're going to be in misery for most of your life.

Indeed, we take for granted that our parents provide us with the tools to improve beyond what they did. My grandfather did not go to college but he did well enough so that my father went to school in a decent neighborhood and went to college. The same for myself, better high school, better college, more competition, better opportunities for both work and network.

Imagine offering these kinds of salaries in an oil and gas state. Starting salaries for many engineering jobs in oil and gas exceed 6 figures often. Many of these jobs are experienced positions. It's very obvious why Musk wants H1-Bs.

Milton Friedman viewed the H-1B visa program as a form of government subsidy for businesses. He argued that it allowed companies to hire foreign workers at lower wages, which he equated to "socialism for the rich."

This is the reality of the H1-B scam. These are not elite workers, these are average foreigners scamming the system and companies using it to artificially keep wages down. There is also the other aspect of elites using this to dilute the American population and bring in a bunch of yes men who will never rebel and never question anything because they are perfectly fine living in absolute filth.

India is the perfect nation for the elites. A billion people living in horrific conditions who never rebel, love their nation, and don't care if people die by the millions while their elites live in palaces with 100s of servants they treat like dirt. This is what the elites want here, it's not surprising they are bringing them over by the millions.

Using Government programs to artificially bring down wages is capitalism? Sounds like some form of corporatism that moves against market forces. The market is saying Americans won't work these jobs without more incentives, so instead of providing more incentives, the employers petition the government to bring in migrant workers to work for reduced wages and you think that's capitalism?
