Since everyone on here is basically summarizing the book I posted above. Here is the gist of the book that was written after 10/7. Everything in the book is plausible. Save the tin foil hat comments, just summarizing the book.

Basically with our border wide open, terrorists teams that had no knowledge of each other were put into place with a handler all across the US in major cities. Once green lighted via their handler they all attacked thinking they were the only team doing the attacking.

First day, obvious soft targets in public places (schools, event venues, malls, public markets). Multiple teams in the same city, repeated in many cities across the US and simultaneous cyber attack to taking down 911 in the city (anyone remember recent reports of widespread 911 outage?). No LEO knew to respond and when they responded by firsthand account over the radio, there were multiple targets to overwhelm the response. Throw in a couple airlines taken down at airports and you have nationwide mayhem.

2nd day, Martial law/ curfew is declared by US, and everyone is to remain at home while LEO and NG go around trying to take out first day terrorists. The attack on day 2 by the second wave is Oct 7th style and they go to neighborhoods, where LEO is not present, house to house.

3rd day: 3rd wave takes out infrastructure like power plants, electrical grid distribution, and food distribution centers, i.e. giant refrigerated warehouses.

Imagine a city like Los Angeles with no food for 3 days. If you live there you may want to rewatch "Escape from L.A." LoL

My advice, measure out 100 yards from your house and mark the curbs with spray paint for a poor man's range finder.

Can you carry at Chilifest? Genuine question.

They had 30.06 and 30.07 signs and metal detectors at Santa's Wonderland in College Station last night. I was kind of surprised they didn't let you carry there.

If it's 30.06 you can carry. And should. It's no longer automatic trespassing.
30.06 means no carry, even with a permit.

30.07 is no open carry.

30.05 is no carry without a permit, but with is okay.

It is best to avoid places like that which do not respect people's rights to self defense.
Santa's Wonderland...... isn't that one of those drive through light shows where you do not leave your vehicle that some would call their Castle Doctrine?

No need for range markers.
All you need is a 50/200 yard zero and then just shoot center mass. With 556 you'll be within 1.5 inches from 0-200 and only about 8" low at 300yds. That still punches effectively around the belt and should cover urban combat. And if you don't have a 556 rifle in todays world, you should.

Far from it, although I think that's the way it started out a long time ago back when many of us were still at A&M.

There is so much overlap and redundancy in that list you've proposed. In our government's case and all it's associated agencies, less is more. You continue to prove the antithesis of what you propose.
Just fire the ones in charge of conspiring to overthrow the legitimately elected president and the ones in charge of generating fake terror plots to entrap right wing groups and you can get at least a 50% reduction in force with zero impact on real crime prevention and counterterrorism.

One of the easiest ways to cripple the US in a terrorist attack would be for them to attack our power grid.

Another easy way that those who wish us ill could cause a great deal of harm would be to wait for a widespread red flag warning and drive around throwing molotovs out of car windows in wooded areas. We are completely unequipped to handle a wide range of possible ways by which we could be attacked, but that one scares the hell out of me.

I feel fairly certain we're going to see a larger scale, multi pronged attack on US soil in the next few years.

Wouldn't be surprised to see something with hundreds of attackers spread over multiple cities hitting several soft targets that also have an emotional aspect, like grade schools, churches, concerts or sporting venues.

Due to the heavy presence of home defense, I don't think you'll see door-to-door type stuff. I don't think you'll see sophistication like a dirty bomb or chemicals. You won't see hostages captured.

But just imagine the damage 200 suicide bombers could do on a single day, physically and emotionally. And ask yourself, with a wide open border and an intelligence community focused on influencing domestic politics - what is stopping them?

That is basically what the video is saying.

-Hamza bin Laden has gotten various terror networks to work together instead of being in competition.

-Terror training camps have been training these fools in Urban Warfare. Not the same incompetents as in the past.

-About 1,000 bad guys in the US already waiting for the word. Most came across the Southern border.

-They want to see 50k-60k deaths.

-Will be a coordinated attack in teams.

-Talk of suicide bombers, which have not been seen here.

Whether this is true or not is yet to be seen. Is it fear mongering? Maybe.

I've always thought well-trained teams in coordinated attacks would do a lot more damage than bombings.
Just remember Neocons and Bidenites like Kerry, Brennan, Obama, Graham --- all those think a mere standard dictator like Assad was worse than above. Disagree very strongly.

Just imagine places where a large number of people gather. And at lots of places at the same time.

Fourth of July parades. High school football playoff games. The start of a big marathon. A hundred shopping malls at the same time on a Saturday afternoon.

It's really pretty easy, and everyone will wail about how "no one could have imagined this.".

Yes we can.

Yes. But the real question is, how do you really prevent such. What level of deterrence? To cut to the chase -- could the Axis deter it? What about situation where nothing is much off the table --- an Isabella & Ferdinand style deportation? Would even that do it?

If the answer is no, then maybe the best approach is to not highlight it so much and give it such energy. Just quietly eliminate where needed while also avoiding pointless provocations (and though they are denied, there have been plenty in the foreign policy)

Reading it currently. Fiction that I think is bound to become reality on some scale, thanks in large part to the Biden administration and the joke that is Homeland Security.

Probably by drone.

Right now, we're showing the world how easy it is to fly drones over large metro areas, with very little interference from anyone.
imagine a small drone swarm of even medium sized drones

in Ukraine they can all carry hand grenades and small bombs!

what would 50 of those deployed from McLean Virginia across the Potomac into DC do to downtown and Capitol Hill?!?

Los Angeles Covid lockdowns were fun. It took me 3 years to Escape from LA.

If you live in San Francisco, Los Angeles, etc. you should already have a couple weeks of food and a good amount of potable water on hand for when "The Big One" hits.

Now are most folks in Los Angeles prepared for an Earthquake? Of course not.

Really? Is it because think far enough away from the Bay area? What about San Francisco? Would have assumed they would be as ready as some Japanese and Korean cities given the probability of it coming.

You're comparing the culture of SF and LA vs Japan and South Korea? I know you're smarter than that.

Building structures and bridges are prepared. The people are not.
Your barista definitely doesn't have a week worth of potable water in a closet in her studio apartment.

We saw some of this during the scamdemic when grocery store access was severely restricted.

Guessed as much, indeed. Can't be much helped. That's why hoping the structures are up to it more, as they will have to do more of the "work" of getting through it.
