Perpetuating the "white privilege" fallacy is harmful and racist. Now that you mention it, pretending like someone is getting rich off the "backs of the poor oppressed" black players (who put up the money, pays the bills, suffers the losses, takes all of the financial and legal risks?). I love how in the same sentence she says she earned everything but that there is "white privilege". The sooner that people promote meritocracy and quit blaming failures or successes on the color of their skin, the world would be a better place. Privilege exists but is not singular and is sometimes earned, it is omnidirectional and multifaceted.

White privilege being seen as a fallacy will always be that to certain demographics in this country. It's just a reality for them.

Still, that you can admit that privilege exists at all is much more than others on the right would ever say. To many, that;s a start.

It's a start?

OK. If it's a start, what follows?

Explain the next several steps that follow admitting white privilege

If I had them, I would have noted them.

That doesn't take away from the fact that it's Okay to say there are people who have privilege.

So you don't know what follows, you just know it's a start?

How do you know it's a start if you have no idea what it's the start of?

Because I can't recall anyone on the right even saying that.

It may not be the start of something, but it's more than has been said before. To me, that's something, even if not "a start."

Why is it so imperative that conservatives acknowledge white privilege exists?

I don't blame him. I don't think it's wrong to stop supporting someone's art or skill because they come out with a position that is abhorrent to you personally. For example, I used to love watching Curb Your Enthusiasm until the episode where Larry pees on a picture of Jesus (or maybe it was Mary, either way). I found that to be personally reprehensible and have never watched another episode since.
Damn. That would be a reason to jettison for sure.

In the episode Larry David is taking medicine that makes him pee a lot. He's in a bathroom taking a long, "heavy flow" whiz and a drop splashes up on a painting of Jesus, and makes it look like Jesus is crying. He initially starts to wipe the droplet off the picture, but panics and runs out of the room. Someone later goes into the bathroom and sees it, and thinks they have witnessed a miracle.

A white person saying they have white privilege in professional basketball has got to be one of the most absurd things ever said.

It's not that serious.

hard times create strong men. Strong men create good times. good times create weak men. and weak men create hard times.

I never said it was imperative, or important, or anything; only that one person, which is more than I've ever seen, said it.

White people claiming white privilege in practically any professional sport these days is absurd. A white RB, WR, DB, etc better be an All American type producer if they want to chance to play at any big-time program.

Next she will decide she is a lesbian
Bet you she doesn't, based on her upbringing.

She made a mistake in that press release because she is young and probably listened to the wrong advice.

The girls was raised with good core values. They will win in the end. Sure call out the bad decision but some of y'all need to chill out and put away the torches. When she gets older she will then understand exactly what and why she was raised the way she was. This is still a kid.

Caitlin Clark has become a Marxist. Obama said the same things and it has divided the country to levels never before seen in recent history. Everything Obama has ever said can be debunked in 5 minutes of looking at government stats and data. How is Caitlin Clark any different than Barack Obama, Joy Reid, Ibram X Kendi, Tanehasi Coates, Nikole Hannah Jones, Kamala Harris, and Keith Ellison?

Eh what? There is a huge difference. Those other examples are rich activist leaders or influencers. An athlete commenting -- unless they they make a jump to politics -- is nothing like that.

As a POC, I've never understood the white privilege thing. Even though we didn't have a lot of money growing up, I had a solid childhood, I went to good private schools and my mom emphasized education and hard work. All of the other POC's I went to private school with, they all grew up rich and privileged, and they are all doing really well in life.

Now Im a millionaire in my 30's, high income, doing well professionally and personally. Im doing better than most of my white classmates from school, yet according to libs they're the privileged ones and not me? Just because the color of their skin. Sounds racist to me.

My kids represent 3 distinct races, and all are equally privileged.

Christian values privileged. Two parent privileged. Free American privileged. Etc. It's quite a long list and color really isn't on it.
