Sometimes you can tell a kid the stove is hot, other times you have to let them learn the hard way.
And yes you can view leftists as a kid that needs teaching, I'm all for the learn the hard way politicking and wished we did more of that just not at the expense of our border. Or you can view them as politically incompatible and the only way the war can be won is by beating them into submission or parting ways. It's not much of a war won if you stay married to a significant group of people that were still willing to pull the lever for a hard leftist like Kamala after the disasterous 12 years we've seen with Obama and Biden. The kids you think will learn a lesson by touching the stove clearly are not learning any lesson from their other bad decisions.
You're on the wrong side of this issue. Immigration was not as pressing as inflation and the economy until Abbott started making them feel the pain. I must have watched dozens of videos of black men and women openly complaining on social media "why are they getting cell phones, staying in a nice hotels in Manhattan, PLUS getting monthly stipends? This is some bulls**!!!"
Abbott forced immigration as a way to show the black population that they were being replaced with a new crop of voters who were getting much nicer stuff than they were getting. Jealousy is a powerful emotion and this channeled it into hatred for the Biden administration.
And I have agreed several times above that I respect the method of making people suffer from their voting ways. I just dont trust those people to change their votes in the long run and view this method as a short term win rather than a long term win. I think the significantly bigger change in votes was the democrats sprinting left rather than walking left and people are giving Abbott more credit than the effect shows. But that is just my opinion and I'm not willing to bet an open border on the leftists ability to learn from the err of their ways.
Exactly. Abbott is the worst governor in Texas history and should be sitting in a jail cell, not the governor's mansion. This political stunt only entrenched more illegals in the country. Giving him credit for anything to do with illegal immigration is a joke.
Lmao I always forget about SCA's bizarre anti Abbott takes. You have a serious obsession with him that probably needs to be examined by a professional.

I'm sorry that I take my rights seriously. When Abbott stomped on the Constitution, he should have been jailed. Instead, he's praised, even after screwing up immigration, proposed red flag laws, thrown business owners in jail, forced masking, shut down the economy, etc. At some point, this board will admit that he's a fascist tyrant that takes every opportunity to steal our rights.

You have a strange memory of what happened, considering Abbott was the one who passed laws prohibiting the actual tyrants like Jenkins and Hidalgo from shutting down businesses and requiring masks. If you want Abbott in jail for the policies put in place in April of 2020 you also want literally every governor in the country in jail because outside of DeSantis and Kemp, Abbott was one of the leaders in undoing the initial overreactions quickly. And he certainly was much more pro freedom than Trump was, who happily let Fauci and Birx promote school shutdowns and mask mandates well past when everyone knew they were bs.
Like I said, you have a weird obsession with him that seems to be blinding you from what actually happened.

You forget that Abbott signed the emergency orders forcing the lockdowns with an enforcement mechanism of jail time. Crazy judges put people like Luther in jail, but Abbott gave them the ammo. Other states aren't my problem and Texas should be leaders in freedom every step of the way. Abbott violated our constitutional rights and should have been jailed on the spot.

And then once he realized it was all political bs (well before the most of rest of the country) he literally did the opposite and signed orders preventing the actual tyrants from putting mask mandates and shutdowns in place, which single-handedly saved thousands of businesses and tens of thousands of jobs across the state.
I'm as anti covid tyrants as anyone but even I can admit that in April it was a scramble to figure out just how serious it was. I get you have a weird obsessive personal vendetta against him and aren't going to change your mind because of that, but that doesn't change the actual facts.

This. he's a typical politician. he always waits for someone else to make a risky move and then copies it when it pays off. dude is pretty spineless. (no pun intended)
remember it was DeSantis who put them on planes and did this first.
I said put them on boats and pay for their one way vacation to Hawaii, but I was only laughed at. If we had done that, mass deportation would be a snap.Quote:
