I saw this interview last night and watched it with my jaw on the floor for a lot of it. Soon was adamant that the paper had been one sided and hard left and was determined to hire more conservative voices to give both sides of the debate. Wanted to get to the facts only. Could have knocked me over with a feather.

Good on Soon for taking this on. He better be ready for a fight.

Wow...At some point, there had to be a reckoning with csome of these publications. I just don't see how you change it though when something like 99.9% of journalism profs are liberal/democrat. And the number of students who graduate have got to skew 90+% dem ideologues too.

Remember, it is more of a religion than a political party to these people nowadays. It would be basphemous or heretical to be neutral, and not act as a propagandist for the democrat party.

I could make a pretty solid case for filling up the empty mental asylums throughout the country with deranged psychotic liberals. Tell me that type of editorial piece wouldn't be good for ratings as well.

My jaded view of stuff like this is that what this really means is that they realize they've been too blatantly biased and brazenly propagandizing. "Fair and balanced" to them means a token presence of someone right-wing who is probably only a moderate at best and that the bias needs to be returned to something much more subtle and harder to detect.

I do not trust leftists, especially ones with a resume from the Ministry of Truth.

I saw some clips of it. My problem with Soon was, "Was this a-hole not paying attention to what was being published in the newspaper he owned?"

The comments section is quite entertaining!

Against my better judgement I extended my Washington Post subscription for $29.
Since they refused to endorse Kamala they have lost 250,000 subscribers but the rage of the readership is very entertaining.

We saw similar introspection after 2016. Let's see if the media and the Democrats (but I repeat myself) learn or triple down.

Newspapers are a dead media. I don't know anyone who gets them anymore. I don't know anyone who subscribes to be able to read online. I'm sure there are people out there but they are going the way of record players, niche and may limp along but not mass consumed.

We may not trust him but the fact that the LAtimes did not endorse kamala, and this guy going on Fox with that interview , means it's possible he's telling the truth.

Sure he was. He doesn't mean anything he's saying. It's a face saving maneuver.

Ironically part of that ended up with their flirtation with trying to understand "The Trump voter" and the poster child was Hillbilly Elegy. The book, the Ron Howard movie with libs like Glen Close acting. They tried to flip the script but had already created a monster.

That said I think some of you are missing the point. This isn't about the left suddenly changing their tune. I do think there will be some folks who red pill as that has been a steady flow most recently including Elon, Tulsi, Bari Weiss, and pretty much RFK. That's not the ballgame though.

The ballgame is the Civil War. This will be the older liberals who finally feel like they can stand up and tell the revolutionaries they need to calm down. Problem is a lot of them are too far gone and are completely insane. Thus the War. They have allowed so much to burn down and allowed so many lunatics in power its going to be very hard to root them out. Some will sell out of course (looks like AOC is already showing signs btw, she just removed her pronouns from her bio) but some are just all in. Those folks will fight until the end and the best thing is they are going to focus their attention on the other Dems and not Trump. They will be saying they need to be MORE leftist.

I do think guys like Scott Jennings though are doing more for the GOP than most elected officials. He's a calm and reasoned conservative voice who doesn't lose his cool. He just makes the leftists look unhinged and unreasonable and that's how you win over the Suburban types. That's the truly key demo btw, they are the largest group of voters and they actually do swing. They want good governance above policy.

Just enjoy watching the Dems eat their own, it's so much fun.

Maybe business in America has woke the hell up and realized business is about making $$$. Back slaps at parties among elites is not getting it done.

I'll believe it when I see it. Liberals also called for less divisive rhetoric in the wake of Trump's attempted assassination. When it came time to actually follow through, they went back to their standard ways.

WaPo's continued employment of "conservative" Jennifer Rubin is an example. She's so full of TDS that its easy to spot her as a leftist.
