There are plenty of Republicans who are objecting to him as lacking the experience and professional sensibility to actually do the job successfully, separate and apart from the lurid allegations investigated by the Biden DOJ.

So the short answer is no, you don't have any proof.

Despite your reservations about those withholding judgement, if irrefutable proof was presented that the allegations against Gaetz were true and that he had done something illegal, most here would agree the nomination should be killed. Democrats and their mouthpieces in the press have cried wolf about Republicans so many times now, and especially when it comes to anything related to Trump, that we have every right to treat negative reports about Republicans as hearsay and lies until proven otherwise. We know their playbook and their character.

They did everything they could to destroy his first term. They illegally spied on him. They assaulted him in the press with lies and fabrications. They impeached him twice on bogus charges. Having sex with a 17 year old is not a federal crime so it doesn't matter how long DOJ investigated and what level of evidence they had that he banged a minor, the DOJ couldn't charge him with that.

This isn't quite right as I understand it. The issue center of the allegation is whether or not he paid a 17 year old to travel with his party to the Bahamas where prostitution is legal and the age of consent is 16 years old.

I thought the Democrats admired Europe? Choose a few European countries and google their age of consent. Yes, a tangent….but proof of their crocodile tears.
