Q) Did person violate US Law by coming here illegally?

A) If Answer is YES, then proceed to deport. If Answer is NO, then person may stay.

And then after getting through 10% of the illegals, you run out of funding, loose congressional support, and midterms, and then the presidency in 2028. But hey.. at least you achieved 10% of the deportation goals and 0% of the rest of the Trump agenda. Bravo!

The asylum judges are only ordering deportaion in about 47% of cases. It use to be about 80%. Its hard to find a number of illegals that have deportation orders, but there are millions, could possibly move on those.

What other western civilized country's allow:

1). People to illegally enter their country and stay
2). Stay simply because their grandmother is with them
3). Stay because they illegally broke in then had a baby

I seriously don't know the answer.

If you are talking about me, then you are wrong. It's 99.99% certain that I am more conservative than you.

I want Trump to cut 90% of the government. I want him to abolish 11 of the 15 departments. I want him to eliminate the income tax completely. I want him to eliminate welfare, social security, medicare, medicaid, the Fed, and much more. Can you say the same? I assume not.

I fear that going house to house deporting illegals who have been here for 20 years who have kids in schools will be a political disaster and make REAL government cuts impossible. That he will blow his wad on this, and get nothing done. Except hand democrats the presidency in 2028.
Yea...NO! An illegal that's been here for twenty years has long ago begun the legal Immigration paperwork...If they haven't that's on them...

I know plenty here on overstayed Tourist Visas that started the process long...I'll bet they will be exempt based on some sort of window of beginning the process.

Mass deportations are not new to the US. During the Eisenhower administration (1954) there was a program called 'Operation *******' that rounded up and deported 1.3 illegals. Bill Clinton deported almost 1 million, George W. Bush nearly 2 million, and 3.2 million during Obama's term.

Ultimately, if it's illegal to hire them and not provide benefits, they won't come/stay.

If you halted giving benefits to non-US citizens without proper paperwork by state, most would leave anyway.

I do not want to go after people who have been here for 10+ years or anything...unless they are criminals or tax evaders. That being said, the 15MM+ that were let in over the last 4 years should go. That was an intentional sabotage by the dems, and a lot of very bad people were let in. We need to obviously start by getting rid of all of the violent criminals, but then we need to chip away at these recent invaders.

Just my opinion. Personally, there are some illegals who came here a long time ago who I have come to respect, or are friends with their offspring...I don't want to see them removed. And I think if we try taking that approach, it could be a monumental political disaster...political suicide.

Every latino you know knows some good friends or family, who are good people, who came here illegally, or whose parents did.

The ship has sailed...but we need to focus on the recent immigrants for sure.
Well then, feel free to sponsor them...or....

It's only a political disaster if you watch The View, CNN, MSNBC.

It still has to be done though.

Doesn't matter who it's on. Deporting those families are going to lose elections and keep Trump from passing any more of his policies..

But hey.. at least they are gone, right?

He really shouldn't. People will probably be deported but the logistics needed to deport 20 million people is on a scale that just makes it impossible. Throw in the occasional officer that goes beyond their authority and does something stupid and you have a political mess on your hands.

People will be deported but I think too many are thinking too big.
What Trump should do is take away the freebies, crack down on the fraud, and count self-deportations in his number of deportations. That will yield a nice big number without the issue of going door to door.
Agree. And secure the border.

I am a little concerned that this policy will lead to a stop-and-frisk situation where people have to show "their papers". That wouldn't be cool.
If you say you hate the state of politics in this nation and you don't get involved in it, you obviously don't hate the state of politics in this nation.

Cut all of their money off, kick them out of their free housing, etc. Give them money to get in the plane and a little more when they arrive.

And close the border.

From a Homan interview i saw last week (sorry don't have link).

He stressed 4 points about fixing illegal immigration that he said worked last time:

1) If illegals know the US serious about the border, they will remain in Mexico.

2) Stop Catch & Release.

Those first two will cause many to self deport.

3) International asylum (saw discussed in some earlier post).

4) Finish the wall.

Interviewer was asking about "mass deportation", and it didn't appear (to me) to be a priority, or at least he wasn't aware of a plan. He wanted to focus on his points above.

I'll add that "mass deportation" seems to be a social/news media term.

Define "mass deportation"?

1,000

10,000

100,000

1,000,000

The answer is that "mass deportation" will be anytime the liberal media reports a story of anyone being deported.

IOW >= 1.

If we can first stop the bleeding, maybe I'll believe real net deportation is possible.

Whatever the price of (perceived) labor shortages, I'll gladly pay.

My kids high school has transformed from one of the best in the state to a "less than 50%".

I wouild be afraid to live in the area where I grew up.

Personally, I think this is what the republican congress is afraid of. I think there is a right way to do it and a wrong way. And the number of wrong ways far outnumber the number if right.

If it turns into a gestapo type thing where people call a hotline reporting house X of having illegals so that an ICE team can raid their ass, then that would get UGLY fast. It would be easy for libs to spin that as Nazis hunting jews. And in cases where parents came illegally a decade ago and now have American born children would be ugly as well. The liberal media will be tipped off on these situations, and those families WILL get interviewed have their sob stories all over the news. Every day will be another sob story.

To me, the right way is to first pass a law that denies government at any level from providing benefits to illegals that they don't pay taxes for. So no welfare, no government housing, etc., but yes on public education, drivers licenses, etc. This would encourage the free loaders to self deport. No media sob stories, etc. THEN I would go after known gang/cartel members even if we don't have proof that they committed another crime (yet). What I would NOT do is deport criminals INSTEAD of imprisoning them for their other crimes. If a dude is serving 20 years for murder, then putting him on a bus for Mexico is PREFERABLE to jail. He should serve all 20 years and THEN be deported.

Anyway, I hope Trump doesn't F this up. And I think he has to convince congress that he won't if he wants to get Rick Scott as Senate leader, and any of his agenda through.
Not worried at all about that. Next question please.

75% or so of Americans are for mass deportations. Even if it turns south, at least a great deal of them would have been deported first.

It is the right thing to deport criminals and as many leeching illegals as possible.

At the same time this is a legal action by patriotic Americans where the opposition marxists will fight the legal action using guerrilla warfare tactics.

The first step and most difficult is the propaganda war. If and only if you win the propaganda war then you advance to the street fight portion and whatever is done must be done decisively and quickly.

I think the message of mass deportations is a message to the new President of Mexico.

The Venezuelans are here to stay. How could you deport people to a country where there is no diplomatic relations?

There will be no third country in the region that will tak them. Those countries are already under pressure from the VZ diaspora.

Lock up the criminals and send a message to the Commie Mexican Prez.

What are the chances the MSM and NPR will cover it the same way they covered the Biden Admin's "mass importation" planr (aka midnight illegal alien flight program) that went on for 2 yrs,....which was NOT AT ALL?!

I've asked my liberal or CM friends and family about that when they bring up the "bipartisan immigration bill." They are clueless about what went on the first 2.5 yrs. If it wasn't covered in their echo chamber it didn't happen.

They need to start every press conference about it with info on Biden's and Harris's treasonous behavior.

Yes, he really should. If he claims that he will deport 20 million and then only deports 100,000 then he will come off like a fool. He should make clear what his actual goal is.

Good. The Dems can run on "he said mass deportation and he only got rid of 3 million, we can do better!" Just like the amount of wall built.

Go after criminals first

Prosecute and fine the **** out of any company employing them

Deny government benefits to all of them

End geographical birth citizenship

Once this is done, then you start deporting all else.
