How do you explain Harris failing to get 16 MILLION ballots that Biden got?
Well, she is a black woman for one and a completely different candidate than Biden in that way. Also she was running as essentially the incumbent which has disadvantages if a lot people are not happy with things, which Biden was not. Trump instead was running as the incumbent in the fall of 2020. During a massive pandemic affecting the economy and every one's lives in negative ways. TOTALLY different scenarios.
How did Biden get that many more votes than Obama.
People were really, really excited about Obama, because it was the first black president.
I voted against him, and I think he is a criminal, but I was at least glad that the US was able to elect a black man to President.
Also, see my post above about voter ID laws.
It was a global pandemic. Unusual situation affecting every day life in unusual ways. No sports. Masks. Shut downs. No air travel. Mail in balloting a huge jump. Let's see what the total votes are this time. I suspect will be notably less all around. 2020 was an anomaly in voting patterns.
Trump is going to almost match his 2020 total.
One thing about 2020 that was an anomaly. It was the easiest election to cheat in, ever, thanks to all the last minute mail-in ballots, and a judiciary that was so afraid of the public response to anything that didn't pander to those afraid of COVID, that the judiciary let EVERYTHING slide.
You can't say that 2020 was an anomaly when it came to voting patterns without also recognizing that 2020 was also an anomaly with regards to the lack of internal controls.
Add that up with the busted water pipes, the huge 3am jump in votes, the 4 swing counties that all coordinated to send poll watchers home, and then to resume counting after they left, and all of the other smoke, and say, with any amount of certainty, that the anomaly in voter participation was due to the change in behavior as opposed to the change in the lack of internal controls.
You still haven't addressed national voter ID. Why don't we have national voter ID?
