Liz Cheney deceptively cut the video and is taking what Trump said completely out of context.

— Mollie (@MZHemingway) November 1, 2024Quote:Quote:
I need to make a statement.
This morning on CNN I referred to Trump's "rifles" quote as him advocating a "firing squad" for Liz Cheney. I was reacting in haste to what were objectively appalling and irresponsible comments that had been framed in the set-up piece in the context of previous statements Trump made about shooting protestors and having generals "executed." Still, I was wrong to say he was calling for a firing squad execution. After I said that, my co-panelist, Brad Todd made the case that I was wrong. Brad was right and, again, I was wrong. Trump was making albeit in his customary fashion a different argument about Cheney's alleged foreign policy views and the use of force. I let my disgust at Trump's comments get the better of me as this was the first time I'd heard them.
In fact, at the end of the program, having thought about it, I said as much (though I could have been clearer). A fact that has been left out in a lot of the criticism of me since this morning. In other words, I voluntarily conceded the point, unprompted, before any of this subsequent criticism came my way. (You can find it around the 2:20 mark in the video below).
I regret the initial comment because it was inaccurate and contributed to the kind of overheated environment Trump thrives on.
Trump's words were bad enough.
But it's worth noting that a lot of the criticism about my inaccuracy is itself somewhat inaccurate, or at least incomplete, given my correction.
Trump broke Jonah.

It was only after the events of Jan 6 that she decided she'd seen enough and voted for the second impeachment. So basically, Trumpers are against her because she called him out on his BS election denialism, claim she's a "warmonger" because her father is Dick Cheney and basically demonize her because she had the political courage to do what she felt was right, unlike most of the GOP who have grown spineless to criticize Dear Leader in the face of MAGA cultism.

Amnesty and citizenship for millions of illegals
Continued importation of aliens in massive quantities, including criminals
Reparations for slavery
Gun restrictions
Increased taxation on corporations which will be passed down to consumers
DEI enforcement
Transgender promotion for children
Fewer prison sentences and low bale requirements
Tax money sent to selected liberal groups
Limits on Freedom of Speech
Use of IRS and justice system against Americans who are not politically aligned
An end to the two party system - one party rule from now on. Essentially an end to democracy.
No person who has not been brainwashed can support those things. Certainly not a conservative or any republican. Liz Cheney has mentally checked out.
How exactly does that make Biden or Harris better leaders?BigFred said:

It is a blatant lie. Period.
The words "firing squad" were never uttered by Trump. Those words are yours, and they completely change the context of the point he was making. And then you followed with a claim it was a direct quote.
Your posts are always out there, but this one is flatly disgusting.
You are going the hear one or the other.GeorgiAg said:
Nine guns? What does that mean? That is reasonably interpreted as a firing squad. Guns pointed at her face? That does not sound like a battle scenario but more like a firing squad.
Great, four more years of, "here's what he really meant to say....." Trump needs a translator to interpret "the weave" a/k/a dementia.
Trump is one or more of these:
1) dumb
2) crazy
3) has dementia
4) a closet (not so closeted, he said it directly) wanna be dictator who will seek retribution against his perceived enemies.
Coulda had DeSantis. I voted Libertarian. Can't vote for either bozo on the ticket. I don't want to hear cackles or "the weave."

She jumped ship when she did because she's a politician. Trump was on the way out, democrats on the way in, so she maneuvered herself to be in the favor of those in charge. That simple. She's a politician that stands for nothing and to imply she made a stand with "courage" is laughable. It takes no courage to adopt the position that's blasted out as truth by 95% of the press and media.
Her voters rightfully threw her out. Her job was to represent them, not play politics. But Liz is good. She's a media darling now running the television circuit and given a platform on social media by the usual legacy media suspects.

He's not stupid. But, he says tons of stupid things. He's still better than Harris, because he actually says things that have actual meanings instead of saying "We need to have a land of opportunity so that the people of this land have an opportunity to take advantage of opportunities"Quote:

Trump is a boarish, bullying, narcissistic, egomaniac, meat-head who can never admit that he has ever been wrong. But, he is also an American that loves America, loves entrepreneurism, loves the American working people, and enacts policies that help the working and middle class. Net-net, he has flaws, but he is pretty awesome for a DC politician.Quote:

If Trump is really a criminal so is:

2) Joe Biden
3) Hunter Biden
4) Garland
