Can my fellow Mexicans stay?
This is where I fall...deporting EVERYONE who ever came in illegally would actually upend this country in many ways imo...I don't think people have thought this through TBH. Deport those who came in in the last 4-5 years, plus those with serious criminal records??? I am FULLY on board. But I have a coworker whose dad is a great man but came in here illegally probably 5 decades ago. I do not think people realize what deporting ALL illegals would entail. Many people on here are connected with some illegals at least within a few degrees, and don't even know it.
Deport them all. They are all part of the problem. If he is such a great man, he can either help his home country or request to enter legally.
If this isn't a what would Jesus do kind of thing, I don't know what is.
As for deporting them all, why not just make it to where if they weren't born here, even if they served the military to become citizens, they have to go as well?
I mean, if we're going to have an America for Americans, might as well go all in, que no?
Immigrants taking over your country is a Biblical punishment from God.
Yes, I agree. Send them all back.
Edit: I am also for sending the fraudulent "birth righters" back.
Really? Or is it just God allowing the world to take its natural course, good or bad? Immigrants taking over the America is what started this country. I'm all for closing the border and sending back anyone here illegally. What I am unsure about is these arguments that they are taking jobs from Americans. What jobs? I'm not sure these are jobs most Americans are clamoring for and I have a feeling that some employers are going to get hurt if deportations morph into affecting those with temporary work visas.
Mass deportation sounds like a good plan in theory....In theory its never been done at this scale. Blaming God for everything doesn't make sense.
I am refuting the poster's appeal to Jesus as some sort of "gotcha" for allowing immigrants to overrun run the country.
Your assertion that "immigrants" started this country is unequivocally false. This country was built by pioneers and colonists. Immigrants came after this country was built and bled for.
Mass deportations are feasible and necessary. I am not concerned about the employers who benefit from undercutting Americans with foreigners willing to live in slums and work for pennies. Americans have long done hard jobs, but they will not do them for slave wages that immigrants accept while being subsidized with our tax dollars. Further, my concerns with immigration do not consist wholly of economic arguments of which immigrants are a net drain on every metric except GDP.
So you think Americans will take the jobs immigrants are doing so long as they're paid more? And if so, you do see that pretty much everything you pay for will go up in price, right?
Yes, contrary to popular belief, Americans want to work. Employers will be forced to either pay a fair wage, innovate/automate, or fail.
Any minor price increases would be offset by no longer subsidizing the immigrant population with our tax $
You have way more faith in our workers than most do here. There's countless of threads where those same Americans are bashed for being lazy and not finding jobs.
Me, I didn't mind when companies raised their prices to help pay their workers more, but there were plenty on here that didn't like the increase in prices they'd have to pay because of it.
Still, again, I may not completely (I do to a degree) agree with you, but I like that you've put a lot of thought into this and aren't just parroting whatever talking points the social media and news places you go to, spew out.
