I'm going to guess he was a skilled grifter insofar as he knew who to target and would be relentless in seeking funding or backing or charity or whatever.

This has been the obvious question from the beginning which has yet to be answered. I've also not heard if the truck was his or how long he had been in FL. That may have been reported but I have not heard it.

Our options:

- he was a psychopathic somewhat nutty con man, who somehow manipulated people to support him (they are out there). An S tier grifter.

- he has some major inheritance or trust fund he lives off of. Considering he had trouble making child support payments, this seems unlikely, I would expect courts to force or seize any kind of inheritance he had to cover his child support obligations.

- he was being supported by some group with political motives. Be it small circle of friends with extreme political ideology or larger organization.


What is also nuts is how many times he's been arrested.

Yeah, but if he was just a good con, he could have done all of that maneuvering himself and been telling wild lies to everyone he was associated with about what he was really up to. That's how con artists operate. So in this case, the people he knew might not have known what he was planning, they may have been supporting him based on lies he told them.
