I think we need to accept the fact that Trump is not going to win. Harris is up in all of the polls, she's starting to gather huge crowds, and the MSM is doing everything in its power to push her across. Trump simply cannot win another general election. He is entirely too hated. Plus, he just refuses to change. He won't listen to advisors, won't prepare for debates, won't shut the **** up about stuff that doesn't matter, and continues to step on his own dick. Harris has to be the weakest presidential candidate of all time, and has a record of absolute patheticness…and is still going to win.
But instead of accepting that, we are putting our fingers in our ears and saying "nuh-uh", "polls are rigged and fake" or "lol, just wait till Harris implodes at the debates!" None of that is going to happen. It's entirely wishful thinking. The one thing the right is not doing however, is forcing Trump to change by NOT showing up at his stupid rallies or ending campaign contributions until he changes.
I honestly cannot fathom how he ****ed this up. He survived an assassination attempt and ended Biden's political career…only to lose to the most unqualified, idiotic, vapid excuse for a candidate imaginable.
Republicans are completely outmatched and will continue to lose in perpetuity. The left is sooooooooooo much better at politics than we are, and when you add in the MSM, Hollywood, illegals, the courts, etc., it ends up being too much.
If America survives this next four years, Republicans are going to have to do something dramatic to stay relevant. Populism didn't work, true conservatism (DeSantis) was rejected for more carnival barking, and it's only getting more bleak.
I don't know what the answer is, but this ain't it. There is zero excuse for losing this election. Yet here we are.
End universal suffrage or the masses will vote us into socialism and then communism. Letting every idiot vote was the real issue. They outnumber us. It is just math at this point.
That darned Constitution gets in the way every time. Exactly what would be your requirements to vote?
The original constitution did not provide for universal suffrage, so apparently it does not get in the way enough. The founders, who were infinitely smarter than you or I will ever be, knew you couldn't allow people without skin in the game to vote because you would end up exactly where we are right now.
To vote in federal elections? You must be a net federal income tax payer and not received Medicaid, SNAP, TANF, or the like within 5 years.
By God, they knew how to keep those women and ******* in their place! [\spits, wipes mouth on sleeve]
The idea that income should have any bearing on voting and representation is reprehensible on any level, and the concept that any true freedom loving person would even suggest it is hypocritical, at best. Lord help those poor people who get laid off or had some sort accident and had low income this year, in your world they couldn't even vote to change the ****show they're in.
So instead we get the tyranny of the unwashed masses that are entirely insulated from federal income taxes and put the entire financial burden on the very top earners that are too small of a voting block to stop it.
Your BS of acting like you are morally superior to our founders is ridiculous. You aren't even in the same realm as they were intellectually.
It is not surprising that a career government bureaucrat would take that position. It's easy to do when you have never produced anything during your career.
And there it is!!!! Somehow the "career government bureaucrat" works its way in here. Classic……when you're showing your true colors and can't justify a completely bankrupt position that goes against the very heart of our constitution and country, use that as some sort of insult to someone who has voted 99% Republican his whole life. By the way, I've had multiple jobs and side jobs in my life including the consulting I'm doing now, so run along with your weak attempt at a "gotcha".
Changing your user name didn't change who you are or the asinine concept of disenfranchising a goodly chunk of the American population because you have more money.
But it doesn't go against the heart of original constitution. Those changes were made by weaker men.
I spent significant time working for the government myself both domestically and in Iraq. There is no shame in that, but career government employees are the last ones we want voting on our representatives.
And if your concern is economic, limit voting to combat vets.
The point being letting every idiot vote is not sustainable.
Why? Because some of them vote differently than you? Now apply that across the entire population and cut the others out some way, too.
The ironic thing is you keep pointing at the Founding Fathers and their "intent" in the 1700s, yet you want to base voting on income tax - something not even around until near.y 150 years after they wrote the constitution.
Career government employees should be apolitical. There is too much chance of corruption. See the current politicization of the Bureau.
If we eliminate Fed income taxes I have zero issue with non net tax payers voting.
Honestly, if you eliminate Fed income taxes and they don't try to infringe on the bill of rights, I would have very little care about who control the federal power apparatus.
Currently, I am being stolen from by the entitlement leeches at the barrel of the federal government.
